    • @Laura-Yu

      Waddabub Yeah, something about the genes expressing dry earwax is also correlated with less body odor. Apparently ~90% of Koreans have it- not saying Koreans don’t smell because we do but probably translates into less stronger body odor than other ethnicities. Europeans/Africans mostly have wet earwax. But yeah, I agree with just because you don’t think you smell, doesn’t mean you’re not smelly😂

    • @astoriarego8304
      @astoriarego8304 4 년 전 +34

      Yes, due to variants in the ABCC11 gene, East Asians don't have the same number of apocrine sweat glands. These secrete the proteins, lipids, etc which atteact bacteria, which in turn produce odor. Modified apocrine glands produce ear wax, which is why a variance in the gene also changes ear wax.

      Necessary! I'm a professional, I've been dancing my entire life and I still cant always find a secure method for my hair. natural hair is naturally frustrating when you dance 😂

    Calling them “doorknob buns” is so relatable to me as an ex-ballerina. We would always look at everyone’s hair and see which of them had a doorknob bun.

    11:12 - WOW! Those calf muscles are AMAZING! Ballerinas have amazing physical training. Strong, not bulky and totally limber. Love it! Wish I could do half what they can staying that strong and flexible.

    i’m a figure skater & a lot of us do ballet training for the sake of improving our grace, flexibility etc. on the ice. my coach insisted that i trained enough to go on pointe & while the learning process took years & was extremely difficult it was worth it in the end. still i only do it for the skill, at the most 1-3 hours a day. i could never spend a full 8 to 12 hour day in pointe shoes. kudos to any and all ballerinas out there!
