My favourite part was when the Qu proclaimed ''it's All Tomorrow time'' then went along and All Tomorrow'd humanity. Truly one of the moments of all time
Yeah you gotta love it when the Star people go "I sure hope we don't get twisted into beastly abominations by eldritch gods" and then the tomorrowers are right behind him.

@@Spaceman972 Snaiads by C.M. Kösemen (the author of All Tomorrows) is definitely worth checking out. The creatures are so weirdly designed and I love its world-building. pterosapians are kind of beautiful yet tragic to me. to be so smart, so free from oppressive social classes and yet trapped by your own body to only live for 23 or so years is tragic but insanely interesting
Well, they still live full fulfilling lives. If there were a species that lived to 500 years old, they would probably look at us and think, “wow, it must be so sad to only live to a hundred or so.”
the pterosapians girl in the picture gave me mixed feeling. Her life was short and that would be her last time visting such place but she seem happy and living in the moment. Girlie deserved a happy life
@@invit6441I loved seeing that picture, it made them seem very human and it made me love their species even more
It's the same for us. There's so much greatness in the world but we only have 80 years to experience it.
Yea their story alone should have been the end goal for the galaxy in my own opinion. Tru freedom and appreciation of life
To me this work is a celebration of humanity's capacity to survive. I find it inspirational in a sea of a lot of anti-human fiction we see today.
I think we as humans just focus on negatives a lot. We see war and crime and insane injustices and think that’s all humans are. We forget that humans also have an infinite capacity for compassion, love, creation, and unity. Stories like these are important to remind us that we aren’t one sided creatures.
I think this is extremely disrespectful to humanity and it just makes me hate possible alien life even more. The stars are our birthright. Humans on top

The Colonials and then the Modular People really struck a chord with me when i read All Tomorrows. Even though they didn't survive in the end, there's something really beautiful about the way they managed to create a utopian society from their horrible starting point.
They truly embody the "Indomitable Human Spirit against the cold indifference of the universe".

even though this is terrifying, it's also kinda comforting knowing that it's never truly over. change will always happen
Exactly what I thought. I like this side of speculative evolution. Even though it's full of misery and is surely terrifying, in the end it gives us hope, telling us nothing is over yet and your willpower can overcome what you are struggling against. All Tomorrows and Altered States are my favourite examples of this.
This is deeply terrifying, yet so interesting to me. I feel like there's an alternate world where this has actually happened somehow.
I see, we have to re-look our understanding when it comes to folklore and true history, i so happened to be Christian growing up but then learned it’s lies and it’s truths, we must know what the truth is to God, why then Noah was perfect in his GENEarations? Noah walked with God, could this be WHY the flood happened? Gene tinkering….? And so I’m not really exited that people are curious about something that will bring man to another extinction.. so called gods that give us knowledge and understanding, but never lead to peace or true life.
If the universe is infinite, then it definitely happened
if you feel like it is the truth, it probably is.
Alternate world? It just simply hasn't happened yet. We haven't even finished page 1 of the story by colonizing Mars

This starts off horrifying and slowly becomes strangely beautiful, then sad. This is incredible.
I’m not sure I would say the ending is sad. Sure, it’s melancholy, but all lives must end at some point, and the story of humanity in all tomorrows is the story of life as well. Through all their suffering in twisted humans maintained their drive to expand, connect, and understand. The life of every human told as one. And the fact that another alien race saw the value in that long after humanity was gone from relevance is the lesson. We may amount to dust in an unforeseen amount of time, but our story is still etched into the worlds we lived in.
It’s so incredible I’m absolutely consumed. It’s absolutely beautiful, especially the ending sentence
Actually should humanity ever achieve space flight capable of reaching and terraforming other worlds and star systems then it’s incredibly likely that you wouldn’t see an extinction event for man until the heat death of the universe. For every planetwide massacre, every collapsing star, and so on youd have plenty of humans elsewhere that would be thriving. Think the Imperium of Man from Warhammer. It’s a bit like trying to exterminate every fly with a fly swatted or a flame thrower. Sure you’ll kill many. But you’ll never, ever kill them all.
Yeah
kinda like lovecraftian space horror

translation: Dark matter is a hypothetical form of matter thought to account for approximately 85% of the matter in the universe and about 27% of its total mass-energy density or about 2.241×10−27 kg/m3. Its presence is implied in a variety of astrophysical observations, including gravitational effects that cannot be explained by accepted theories of gravity unless more matter is present than can be seen. For this reason, most experts think that dark matter is abundant in the universe and that it has had a strong influence on its structure and evolution. Dark matter is called dark because it does not appear to interact with the electromagnetic field, which means it does not absorb, reflect or emit electromagnetic radiation, and is therefore difficult to detect.
i don't know what I just watched but i need more of where this came from
I'm addicted to All Tommorows so much, I'm hearing this story everyday😅 hope there is an animated movie made on this😄
In an interview C.M. Kösemen (the author and illustrator of All Tomorrows) said that he was proposed by a studio to allow them to make a full movie of All Tomarrows but he had to refuse them because they wouldn't really allow Kösemen to control the whole process.
Kösemen says he would want to be a part of a movie project where he has the all control, which is very understandable, and he also said even though it's unlikely, he would love Ghibli Studio to make an animated movie out of All Tomorrows.
"Qu, what're you doing?"
"Making Mantelopes."
"It's 4 o'clock in the morning, why on *Qu homeworld* are you making Mantelopes?"
"Because I've lost control of my life."
*Qu, when he had the idea of mantelopes one hour earlier fuelled by existencial crisis, sleep deprivation and a burst of inspiration* : Haha mantelopes go brrrrr

Those colonial who are made to only suffer but actually evolve into modular people are the true MVP's
Gravitals: Oops! I stepped on some flesh bags again!!
....yeah they're fucked. The thought of their existence made my skin crawl..it was such an intense and disgusting visual. Those poor things.

this video is mesmerizing. from the voice to the subject matter, i cant stop watching it

This is more of a horror story than anything. The fact that god-like aliens can completely change the course of humanity, and turn us into these twisted mindless creatures, is horrifying to me.
you gotta be in it to win it
We humans used to take practices in making others horrific, many still do but secretly.
now my mind has something to think about all night
I mean, the feasibility of something like that is very low. Kursgesagt has great vids on the emptyness of space, but the chances are never zero, I suppose. But its definitely fantastical dystopian horror sci-fi futurism shit. Really cool video
Who needs aliens when humans do exactly this to animals on earth, we probably seem godlike to them, they have absolutely no chance of fighting back as we twist them into livestock and animals that please us.
Magnificent work ❤
I love this story. I swear it gave me the feeling of some kind of DMT trip or something. I felt as if I existed throughout this entire universe and even slightly experienced it all.
It’s very dark and compelling, and the artwork captures it beautifully!
Great work!!
