The best father....tough love but at the end Son life and career is going upwards....good example....the father is genuine in wanting son to have a good life in the future...i don see him with expensive clothing or flashes anyting expensive to show to the camera what his son gave him....son is sooooooo lucky to have this man guiding him...amzing bond
He's 31, not 11. He's not married. Wonder why? His Dad needs to get his own life and quit running Son's. It's weird. He doesn't have his own identity. It's like he has his Dad permission to do anything.
β@@CG68810 You misunderstood something. Sonny's father is very passionate and devoted to his son. Because he was a football player himself when he was young and he knew his son loved football so much and also had talents there. So he wanted to help his son not to fail like himself. But if Sonny didn't want to be a football player, he wouldn't have forced his son to be a football player. Because he already knew from his experience it would be very hard to be a professional football player. Sonny really wanted to be one, so his father decided to help and support him.
Sonny loved football so so much more than enough to take all those hard training things. If Sonny didn't like it enough, he would have refused it. South Koreans have also their free will just like you ππ

Stop grouping all Asians into one. We are not the same. Sonny and dad are 100% Korean. They do what works for them based on cultural and personal preferences. Go do your own thing based on your own culture. Korean culture like all other cultures is unique. This is not strict for Koreans. We appreciate it when someone we completely trust manages our life for us.For Koreans, a child's success, no matter the age, is dependent on the parents' participation. In Sonny's case, he and his dad are on the same page in terms of Sonny's life and career.
What a great guy he is, and his dad is so supportive like everybody should have a dad like him.
Read a book written by Son's dad. Nobody can judge him. Son's dad is way more admirable. His philosophy, metality and love for his son is beyond your thought.

I feel the same way. However, as people from unfamiliar cultures (immigrants), they can only settle down and succeed if they fully focus on their work. Surely his success is in large part thanks to his father, but man...practically living your life according to another person's wishes and philosophy sounds exhausting ngl
But it's definitely worth it
Football was Sonny's wish in life. It was not only his father's wish. His dad is just a great life mentor and friend who can give various opinions and advices. But in the end, all decisions and judgments will be made by Son himself... π Isn't the same true for you and your parents, whether you live with them or not? ...Those 60 'Likes' should just stop watching Netflix and try to escape from the world view of Black Mirror! lol
It's sad he had to move just cause his dad wanted him to also, if he's paying for the house he should be able to decorate it the way he wants to. I know it's another culture but man I think the father will have a hard time letting go of the control when he gets married.
