Andrew, superb wrap-up. Your grouping of the different classes was very useful. Really respect your insights on these laptops. Thanks for all you do.
Glad to see my Lenovo slim pro 9i make the list.
excellent overview, Andrew. as always, thanks to you for making these videos.
WOW! Great year in review, Andrew. IYO where do you see Mini LED screens for the near future? Their brightness, refresh rate and pixel dense resolution seems like a win-win in my book.
Cheers
Loved your choices...thanks for the review
Thanks for watching!
X1 Carbon Gen 12 is out. I hope you can review this soon. Thanks for the video. Amazing.
Love your vid Andrew.
@Andrew thank you so much for the videos you post about laptops, to you, what is the overall best laptop and the features
Great video! I bought the Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 8 a couple months ago and I absolutely love it. It's turned me into a Lenovo fanboy for sure. The only thing I don't enjoy is that the fans always seem to be running. Moreso when I have it connected to power, which I often do, but I just haven't gotten used to that yet, coming from an older Macbook Pro 13 where the fans seemed a lot quieter, at least before the battery issues began. Still, probably my favorite computer I have ever owned and the protection plans Lenovo have seem to be phenomenal for the price. Thanks for the always great content!
for 2 in 1 laptops, would you reccomend the yoga 9i or the spectre?
This video convinced me to buy the Omen 16 last week, especially with the 1099 price tag at Best Buy. Unbelievable price, AMD 7940 and Nvidia 4070 GPU. Easy upgrade for more RAM.
Zenbook vs slim pro.... which one would you pick? Both are nice
I'm struggling to find a laptop to buy early next year. I want a light (
I'm not seeing much on the 2023 refresh of the envy anywhere. I got one on the sale recently. 400 nits ips display, 13th gen i5, I'm pretty excited for it.
Nice review of many laptops. Certainly most people should find something to their liking that will meet their needs. Great review.
lots of laptops category covered nice vid thanks. which one is your favourite?
I am glad to see my lenovo yoga 9i gen 8. It is a great laptop. The battery lasts around 5 hours. The fan noise really doesn’t bother me, it is not often. I feel 5 hours battery is decent. At the end of the day is a laptop, not a tablet. If you travel, everywhere you go, there is a connection, even in the airplane. It is my everyday laptop. In my opinion it is a very good deal, especially if you find it on sale. I bought mine for $999.99 at BestBuy, right before Black Friday.
The Lenovo yoga pro 9i looks like a great laptop, but I am worried about the battery life as I have heard it’s very bad. I am looking for a content creator laptop. What was your experience with the battery life? What is your opinion about the legion slim 7i in comparison as well?
thanks Andrew. it is an amazing video and useful. but if you could use some laptops with numpad. it will be creat. I am really appreciate and respect your insights and expertise on these laptops. excellent reviews.
I was hoping to see a dedicated workstation segment but good work Andrew.
I am doing separate video on workstations
Great video. Would have been perfect if you could mention the weight and average battery life in hours for each of these, as tested.
All good choices
Helllo sir I wanna build up a PC With core i5 12600/k Or core i7 12700/k. What motherboard ( I like m-atx motherboard) and gpu would be the best fit with those Chips. Let me know please
I appreciate the serviceability section but do you really think the general purpose, 13 inch portable and business travel laptops are better than the Framework? I would have put all 3 of those sections with any Zen 4 laptops, not necessarily the framework (due to oled, maybe lower weight, etc) but intel gets too hot and it causes too much fan noise. At least in my experience. My partner has the framework and I have heard the fan only twice in 2 months, and she has an intel work laptop and it has fan noise even on idle, on a -U processor which should be only 15W but realistically uses 40W+ during turbo boosts because it's too slow without a lot of power...
HP Dragonfly G4 in the building! I think it’s a sleeper and the deal at Costco right now is unmatched!!!
Which one i buy ? Samsung book 3 pro 16 inch 360 or hp x360 16 inch ? Thank you
What is the best laptop if I need it to also have a lot of storage space? I'm talking 2TB or more if none come with this much then a laptop which has slots available for internal drives.
i appreciate this video but now the the 4th gen processors laptops are already here i will wait for your reviews on those and pick from there
Liked what you did, My request is to feature models 16" with number Pads. Which one is best? Lightest? Powerful? Great Screen So far it seems Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 16", Would you have time to respond?
Very informative video! I create corporate digital courses using Articulate 360 and Camtasia. Overall the courses are simplistic with light video editing, but that could change in the future. When I work from home, I connect my work-issued Thinkpad T14 to two external monitors (27" MSI Optix MAG270CR and Samsung C32F391), a Logitech MX keyboard, Logitech 1080p external camera, and MX Master 3S mouse. I've decided to buy a laptop for personal and work use. The T14 is lagging because of cybersecurity software and sites are being blocked. My previous work computer was a Yoga 12 and I enjoyed using it. I like the Lenovo Thinkpads, but I'm not sure if there is a 2-in-1 model that's powerful enough to handle the load of running both programs at the same time. Camtasia is a memory hog and my T14 lags when editing a large video. Would a discrete GPU resolve that issue? Is 16GB of ram enough? I prefer to buy a 13" 2-in-1, but will get a 14" if there isn't one that meets my needs. What do you recommend?
How's ThinkPad Z13 Gen 1 holding up in 2023? ThinkPad Z13 feels like a direct competitor to the Dell XPS 13 Plus in its idea of bringing bold and modernizing changes to the design.
I’m looking for a laptop that does everything including split screen to work on multiple things at once.
I want a lap top that has a slot for SD cards for photography as well as the one for fast transfer between hardware.
I don’t want to have to be buying extra things to carry around with me for extra usb ports ect.
Obviously one with the pen for arts and design.
Work projects ect.
The two fans, good battery as I’ll be using it allot and all day.
Can you tell me what would be the best to purchase please.
All these laptops have slight differences so I figure it’s easier to just ask you 😅.
Also do you feel it’s better to get a laptop that can be modified considering every year they’re upgrading and bringing out new latops ect.
I’m not a computer enthusiast and I’ll be buying one online and don’t want to purchase something that doesn’t have everything I want and need.
What about Hp envy x360 Oled 15.6 inch intel processor laptops ???
Didn't see this video because youtube didn't show it in my notifications. Surprised you didn't mention the Robo and Kala I felt that laptop for the price demonstrated the potential for Windows on ARM. Hopefully windows device start taking ARM processors seriously. The battery life and potential really is there. As someone who owns the Robo and Kala it really is a value Surface pro. GREAT VIDEO AS Always
I had to limit the number of laptops so some good ones didn’t make the Final Cut
@@andrewmarcdavid Any news of a 2024 update for the Lenovo pro-light 16 as i remember you saying great speakers but you wished they were a bit louder!?
I tried the Dell XPS 13 Plus and it runs way too hot! Not to mention all the quality control issues that people have reported. For me the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i offers exceptional value. I was able to get it at Costco for $1,499.
All Dell laptops lately been running too hot. I bought the Dell Latitude 5520 last year and it always gets so hot.
we bought it too and it's almost garbage.
Yoga slim 7 AMD 2023?
what about Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 8 (14″ AMD) (14APH8)
Between the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 14.5” and the Asus Zenbook Pro 14, which would you say is the better between the two?
.
I love my Lenovo Slim Pro 9i. I'm glad I made the investment
me to, i grabbed it a few days ago. the battery though... i hope they a update it soon cuz its not that good. i absalouty love this computer,it games it edits it does it all
I agree. It is a shame that you can get 2 - 3 hrs max
Genuinely curious as to why no macbooks in this? Are they not good?
surprised that you didn't mention the galaxy book3 series at all
They were good, but I had to narrow down to the best.
@andrewmarcdavid weird how the customer reviews for Asus and lenovo laptops are mixed with lots of disappointed users but they are still pushed so hard by KRplusrs. By contrast user reviews for book 3 pro are extremely positive 🤔
13:27 As I highly value having the ability to repair my devices, this laptop is a no brainer, and I can't wait for my 16 inch model to come!
I couldn’t agree more. Modern laptops are a hell to repair nowadays. The only thing the Framework laptops are missing is a trackpoint. If they add it, that would make them perfect in my opinion.
This is an indispensable and a must watch video for those looking to get a great laptop this holiday season! Brilliant job Andrew!! 👍😁
Thanks Rafael!
Hi Andrew, for the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i please can you confirm that a stylus pen works on it ?? I know the Yoga 9i may be better for writing and drawing. Thank you 🙏
Man…laptops haven’t changed much since I bought my last one in 2014. They look almost exactly the same.
awesome
wow, your video quality looks so crisp
Glad you think so!
There are many reviews about Dell laptops quality control flaws. Did you experience any?
all of them are very wonderful
with a very good performance I think all of them are the best
Andrew, what is your every day laptop?
I don't have an everyday laptop as I am constantly testing new ones.
Thank you for your best laptops 2023 video Andrew!
Just to make viewer (including myself) easier to review your vid again, i recap your recommendation

Top thanks. Lenovo is a no go for me.
lol, you pay around 1300€ (tax included) for the Zenbook14x (i5-13500H model). Tax for tech is 19% in Germany.
699$ ~ 635€ if you add up 19% on top of that, we should be paying between 755-850€ max! We are getting scammed!
funny thing is, zenbook 14x has a variant that noone talks about - non pro with i9 13 gen, 3050, 32gb ram, basically same hardware as 14 pro, just no touch screen (at least not on mine), no dial pad which is a plus for because i would accidentally activate it. The best thing is - it's considerably cheaper than pro, but is very similiar, hands down the BEST bang for the buck i ever got
Thanks for the tip. I need something for my part time side business for basic document writing and invoices etc
@@RS-B5ZV honesty, if it's just to work with documents and other lightweight tasks, the base model would be more than enough
How much does it cost and can you give me the link of it
@@georgex7442 i got it for $1800, but i'm from russia, so most of western laptops of the same class cost us about $2300
@@georgex7442 dunno why, but my comment got deleted, i got it for $1800, but i'm from heavily sanctioned country, so similar laptops cost about $2300
Asus zenbook 14x oled now is £1199.99 at Asus store in the UK and $699.99 in the US 😅
The Zenbook 14X is more than double the price in my country in Europe.
Yes, it took me 15 hundreds $ but with a dedicated video card, but at least it looks really good !
€1834 in Portugal
the same ASUS ZenBook 14X costs $1750 in Poland, not $700
€1834 in Worten Portugal 😅😅😅
The Zenbook 14x is like freaking £2000 in the UK so I guess ASUS make Europe pay more so they can sell dirt cheap in the US.
Where is the galaxy books??
Didn’t make the list
So GLAD you aren't talking about MBs.
Overpriced and missing basic features (no touch screen, pen support, finger print sensor, 2-in-1 design, etc.).
They are poorly built which is why class-action law suits are filed them (green screen, cracked screen, connectivity, thermal throttling, keyboards, etc.).
I am going for your outfit bro put up its link to check it for
Which laptops has your brother Patrick Bet David been using this year?
Ich habe nicht SAMSUNG im gefunden. book 3pro beispielsweise
where is macbook?
I only included laptops that I reviewed in 2023.
What about Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED 2023 version? We don't see it.
Nice laptop but didn’t make the final list
Andrew sure is boring, but he gets the job done
Thanks…I guess lol 😂
@andrewmarcdavid Don’t worry, it’s a compliment! (Mostly😅)
9:04 wrong laptop
No
Weird to see Samsung laptop is not mentioned!
Also for me is weird

ThinkPads are never in the best laptop category,
I presume ThinkPads only considered by non-wokish Ladies & Gentle Men.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
