It's probably because his armor is so exquisite that it would be decorative. Plus the people going past him haven't been alerted that a dude in armor is the one attacking.

You know what. This might just be one of the few animes that have this, "Hero from another world who is overpowered," is actually not watered down and looks super fun to watch.
I think it’s hilarious that he’s a skeleton whose left eye glows blue. Of course, while it’s not the royal guard, he certainly is excited about being a licensed adventurer. Just a lot of similarities there.

Some people are confused on how a skeleton can eat, well in the manga it’s explained that his skeleton form is basically a cosmetic change, and is basically just a full body skin-suit that basically replaces his skin. He still has all the basic human stuff beneath the magic bone suit.
I'm about to start watching the show now so I don't know what happens. But it'd be cool if he found a way to take it off and look normal. Like maybe someone does some anti magic spell or something and destroys his skeletal appearance. Idk

We finally got a RPG gamer enthusiast. Dude came up with some interesting backstory to be a cool character and just loves all aspects of a fantasy world, sure it tones down because he realizes its not a video game but its still fresh. The rest of the gamers act like edgelords everytime its so lame and a dead horse.
Fr almost all anime now filled with edgelords. I understand that teenagers dominate the demography of anime watchers but dang you could write them like normal people.

It's most interesting that his self consciousness followed him into the game immediately.
Despite it just being a video game, and him knowing it's potentially just a dream / unreal, he was still self conscious of his looks.

Yeah. I love Mushoku Tensei for many reasons, though the fact it’s a very long character development and redemption story makes the MC really hard to enjoy at times. It *does* “earn” its polygamy though, much to my surprise.
Good to have a purely wholesome option to change things up. Arc’s a good dude, and heartwarming to see good behavior rewarded, even if he mostly just stumbles into the plot.
@@JayTowers901 I'd probably be the best stealth archer that you've never seen, or heard. I like to take it slow and basically explore the dungeons like a tourist, marvelling at the beauty of the landscape.
@@thant0s I find Rudeus to be sympathetic, but extremely hard to bear with. Every single moment of pervyness pisses me off. Otherwise, Mushoku Tensei was very nice... for the several episodes I was able to stand it.
I'll give Mr Skellington Man From Another World over here a try. Being a skellington myself and not being able to stand clueless beta MCs, pervs and complete edge lords, I think I'll like him.
For reference, my fave isekai protags so far are Seya from Impossibly Cautious Hero, Hajime from Arifureta, Kumoko from So I'm A Spider, So What?, Rimuru from SLIME Isekai, Lugh from World's Finest Assassin, and the great William G Maryblood from Far-Away Paladin.
These are the only good ones so far. Oh, KonoSuba was great and Kazuma was hilarious, and Ainz-sama from Overlord is cool as heck.

However, he never abused this stuff, he’d use it in MMORPGs to help new players, and he’d use it in regular games to inform other players who were having a hard time, maybe even being a let’s player.

This one was a very good anime and it's funny that I found it after seeing all of the overlord anime that was out at that time. Overlord is also a guy that looks the same but is a mage... Also a very good one to look for

One thing that bothers me is that if the mc wasnt strong he would been killed by Ariana and that beast girl. They just attacked him without knowing whether he was one of the bandits. They woulda killed an innocent person if he wasnt strong.

to be fair, I'm quite surprised they just went to attack a super-buff VERY armored knight, without any proof of anything...like you can see how pretty much all the normal knights are small plebians in normal metal armor, and then he's like, engraved gold armor and like 3x bigger than anyone else, why TF would you just start a fight like that, without seeing the slightest act of agression or evil, lmao
similarly, how on earth do you confuse a GOLD-ENGRAVED GIANT PALADIN WITH A *BANDIT* it's like they're all blind...
also also, I like how dude tries to attract little attention, but is a mf-in GIANT GOLDEN PALADIN, as if THAT wasn't extremely attention-grabbing and unique...a massive paladin going to help a girl gather herbs is WAY more suspicious than going to some high-level quests, lol (although granted, inside the city itself, he'd be sorta normal)

Instead of being the Skelebro Boss and Leader of the Undefeatable Legendary Strongest Guild in the MMO with legions of the Most Overpowered Monsters and Retainers at beck and call with the Price of needing to act like your in control as the Supreme Being.
This is Being the Overpowered Skeleton Hero in a Fantasy setting. Who would go to every dungeon like a normal player.

It has never occurred to me how cursed a skeleton looks, it’s insides are pitch black but it’s out in the daylight so it’s entire insides should have almost no dark spots/areas.
Yeah. With the exception of the inside of the skull, youd be able to see right into the exposed areas

I'm liking the story, my only critique is he should have hid the fact that he was a skeleton for much longer. I mean when he first woke up he was like "I have to cover my head with this helmet". Then he tells the elf girl he can't take off the helmet, but he shows her and she promises to keep it secret. But not much later he's with other with his helmet off.

This is such an oddly specific premise to copy off of -- a player is somehow transported into a game world where his character is a skeleton, and, in order to disguise their appearance when the need arises, they wear a full suit of armor from time to time. So, this begs the question -- which franchise was the original: Overlord or Skeleton Knight in Another World?
EDIT: So, apparently Overlord began its serialization as a manga around 2 years before this series did.
Both of them started as online novels rather than manga, so it’d be more accurate to go based off of that. Overlord started in 2010, 4 years before Skeleton Knight started in 2014
I rather this over Overlord. Overlord it was women making certain noises repeatedly, it got very annoying.

I mean one of the reasons why you choose the Undead/Skeletons as your Race is because you dont need to eat,sleep or drink. Except youre a Vampire then go drink some blood.
A good way to handle it is to consider a skeletons hunger as just mental satisfaction and he eats food just to enjoy it

This anime was hilarious I was a little worried it would be basic and boring but it was really funny and enjoyable to watch, the English dub is also one of the good ones and the voice actor for the mc does a great job with switching between voices for comedic effect.
