Also even her friends didn’t support her on twitter. So no a lot of people immediately supported her. A very small amount did when it happened.

I have been personally THREATENED by Melanie fans on 2 occasions, one of which landed me on a psych hospital. The first one was the worst one, I had appeared on a picture with Timothy Heller without knowing about the drama and scandal, we just had a friend in common at the time and happened to be at the same birthday party. The hate started when I was experiencing homelessness. My only source of escapism was instagram, I started getting such horrid threats and messages telling me I deserved to be homeless. I logged off and sought help. The second one was for sharing a meme about Melanie trying to be Björk so bad, and again, 12 year olds with too much free time. This time I just made my account private for a couple of weeks and that was it.

Heyo! Mel Stan here! I am a very big fan of Melanie and I do agree that this kind of behavior is wrong. Even though I am one of her fans, I do not act like this. People (some of her fans) really do need to grow up and realize what they’re doing wrong.
Well from what I remember when that happened (SA allegations) immediately she was put on blast and the internet was littered with videos of people throwing away all her music and merch. It was not cool to support her and I don’t know when the tables suddenly changed but during the allegations that’s all I saw on KRplus and other social media. Also even her friends didn’t support her on twitter. So no a lot of people immediately supported her. A very small amount did when it happened.

I have been personally THREATENED by Melanie fans on 2 occasions, one of which landed me on a psych hospital. The first one was the worst one, I had appeared on a picture with Timothy Heller without knowing about the drama and scandal, we just had a friend in common at the time and happened to be at the same birthday party. The hate started when I was experiencing homelessness. My only source of escapism was instagram, I started getting such horrid threats and messages telling me I deserved to be homeless. I logged off and sought help. The second one was for sharing a meme about Melanie trying to be Björk so bad, and again, 12 year olds with too much free time. This time I just made my account private for a couple of weeks and that was it.
