Why only till you Get monetized? You make money outside of KRplus already plus it’s basically free promotion and the videos you make while you work is basically you paying yourself to make the video no time wasted at all not to mention the people that you attract for your business and if your worried about people stealing your ideas or clients by learning from your videos well if you do what you do exceptionally well you have nothing to worry about
I worked in detail for 7 years, had a guy who taught me how to do this cool to see .
You need :
1. Compounds
2. Heat gun
3. Water and sprayer
4. New armrest

agreed. too much editing cuts. always makes me suspect there was some magic edit tricks to it all....if this was a continous 'speed' up repair work. sure. but..nope. cut to cut to cut and 'wow' fixed. suspicious!!

@@jackjackson6476 Why would it be flat? melted vinyl is malleable.
@@OscarOliu no no, when you see the original torn section it's about a half inch wide tear, when he puts the paste on with a spatula it's all flat and then he sands it, it's not possible to get the scale/leather pattern finish you see at the end when he's sanded it flat.
Yup that was a cut for sure. I used to do this work and there's no way to match a grain like that.

@@MUNIANDY33many glues/ binders appear white when wet but are clear when dry. You get the same with wood glue or acrylic paint. That's why acrylic paint looks brighter when wet than dry, the binder turns clear

Literally know how to do this myself u can literally see the outline of the crack at the end. And that little white spec at the bottom right on the armrest is still there at the end. People just mad cause they to damn stupid to be able to fix stuff. Keep doing what your doing brother. Awesome work

I'm a big believer that paint and spackle can fix anything and that's essentially what this is. I've painted roofs, countertops, you name it. I was trying to figure out how I was going to repair the vinyl add a card that I just got, since it's a Mercedes I have to be a bit cautious. Just need to know what the materials are and I can get to it.

Yep. You could charge a $100 for that repair and find a replacement at the wreckers for $30 and take 5 min to swap it out. You can see the camera angle has changed RIGHT at the time of the switch.

If you compare the before and after the color is off so his center consul is going to be a little bit darker than his seats. He should’ve done a lighter color. Don’t ever let anyone fool you by telling you that’s a good repair and don’t let anyone charge you for that kind of repair because it’s supposed to match that’s a good repair

Got a used car once from a reputable dealership. Paid a premium because it was clean and mint. It took less than 6 months for every flawless and undetectable vinyl plug and repair to show and fail. Felt like Wormwood Motors after that.
Huh, I just brought my split armrest to my local auto upholstery shop it was like 90 bucks to replace the cracked vinyl. Good as new
This guy is so good at vinyl repair, he can even re-tighten the seams on the armrest.
He can even repair some faces, re-tighten that they look young and new

Not always easy to pull the part out and replace the vinyl. I had a repair like this done at a pretty reasonable price in the past

I use to work at a body shop supply and automotive paint supply shop. Vinyl repair was one of my favorite things to do when testing new products. Something about it is so relaxing.
What are they using to repair it? Looks like Bondo but it can't be. It needs to be flexible right?

Replacement from junk yard: $20
Im pretty sure there isn't a very good way to repair vinyl. Your best bet is to replace it, by getting it reupholstered, a new seat from the junk yard as you said, or a seat cover from Walmart. Anything but whatever this is supposed to be.

Do you list the products anywhere. I need to fix a headrest an a newer Fiat Abarth. Can’t find replacements anywhere. It’s a small whole I’d rather just fix.
Looks great. Gonna feel terrible though. I give it maybe a week before it cracks around the edge that separates the putty and leather, probably less.

I once bought a truck because the seats were not ripped. I told the guy every truck I look at with this many miles has ripped seats. He was like yeah its a great truck. I later found a repair receipt for the seats in the glove box and the repair lasted about 6 months before it fell apart and looked like every other truck.

Pretty easy go to almost any auto store and you can get some for 20$ then 99% alc for cleaning and some people re paint light in the area but they do sell matching color for the repair gel.
