Details: In today's episode we are diagnosing a PB606 error on our Ford F150 Raptor, this is an error with the PCM circuit communicating with the knock sensor. In the end we found this was caused by the spark jumping out of the coil boot and grounding on the block. The fix was to replace the coil boots and internals to improve conductivity. And then were waterfall chasing and off roading at Abiqua Falls outside Silverton Oregon.

Right...where's the rod through the block, oil pump sieze, supercharger grenading...a coil is no major issue...major is 6-8-10k...not $100.
I've got a camry out back with the #1 rod shoved out the block, took the a/c compressor with it...that's major.
I think your definition of major engine failure is WAY different than mine.
Same I blow a head gasket and that still is only a mid level failure.

That's even more of a pain in the ass. That engine has 16 spark plugs. You have to remove the front wheels and inner fender liners to get to all 8 lower plugs.
I was thinking the same thing. A bad plug can raise the firing KV, so when the spark is getting out of the boot I check for a bad plug.
Hacks only do the bare minimum so...

Hoobitza they do it for a faster, more complete combustion. The cylinders are so big it is helpful to have a twin fire ignition. It helps with horsepower, but probably the real reason is emissions
Hoobitza Mercedes has done this also. Their M112 and M113 have twin fire ignition. I’ve had a ML430 and currently have a R500. They both have the M113 engine. They have 16 spark plugs.

It's Ford no matter free star, Taurus or a truck l have spent a lot of $$ & time on them ! Now l enjoying my Toyota Tundra without spending a dime although used one closed 200k mi.

Since the clickbait issue has been addressed, I'll switch to a different topic.
You're fairly new to 4 wheel drive, despite owning the FJ. That much is evident. You're giddy about driving the 'Roid Raptor. I get that.
But having been out in the back country and damaged an engine, I'm going to pass on a little advice for the future.
First, never wheel alone. Shit goes sideways in a hurry. Even what seems like mild trails can be a several hour walk. Have backup, just in case.
Second, carry the right gear: recovery strap (or snatch strap), shackles that fit your tow hooks (and not Harbor Freight crap, actual Crosbys or the like), a shackle block that fits your trailer hitch, small shovel, and basic hand tools. Even if you don't get stuck, it's nice to have in case you need to pull someone else out. Don't forget a decent first aid kit.
Third, when you're driving your only means of conveyance, don't abuse it. In other words, breaking your shit because of overdriving your or your vehicle's ability, in the middle of nowhere, sucks. Ask me what it's like limping a vehicle home because it sucked in a lungful of muddy water. That fifteen minutes into the backcountry? Yeah, enjoy the hours of walking. You have water and the right clothing to walk out, if you need to?
Fourth, and this goes for proper off-roading and not hooning: go as slow as possible, but as fast as necessary. That is the Golden Rule of off-road driving.
The second Golden Rule of off-road driving: four wheel drive is good for getting you stuck deeper, farther away from home. It doesn't make you invincible. It can make people reckless.
