    I love that you are just chill about how you build these cars, and make it seem laid back and almost easy. That being said, when you said you were going to document how the wires were routed, I wondered "How exactly do you document that?" I think it would be interesting to know your process. In my restoration days we used to have the cardboard we would draw the mechanism on, with holes punched into it for bolts to ensure they go back into the right place. Anyway, thanks for your work!

    Hey @B is for Build, I love what you do here and the thought for the carbon fiber body is amazing. This channel, a long with other helps me figure out and prepare for the next 3 years that I have in my technical area Auto diesel in my new high school!

  • @TheMadJokerRises
    @TheMadJokerRises 4 년 전 +5

    I hope that you're well documented about the carbon fibre process ! To get a clean result, you need to build a negative mould with gelcoat, then applying all the layers while taking care of the groove of the fibre, vacuuming, sanding and polishing and I'm forgetting a lot... I'm not saying it's impossible, especially for you but I hope you realise it requires an insane amount of work and it extremely hard to get a nice result!

    Should get smaller square tubing next time and slip inside those cutoffs from frame that way they are super reinforced .

    • @CyberlightFG
      @CyberlightFG 4 년 전 +1

      You don't want to reinforce the frame, because it's meant to bend in an accident instead of poking through the passengers.

    • @crzy11000
      @crzy11000 4 년 전 +3

      @@CyberlightFG You want the frame to bend but a square repair like that will just break at the weld. If you repair it properly you stagger the welds. On most body repairs where it is structural they make you put part of the frame inside the repair parts frame and weld it back in layers.

Make sure you have your resperator on when sanding that down. Wouldn't hurt to try and saturate more of that carbon if it is structural. Heat will destroy the matrix by weakening the epoxy.
