    A little tip when it comes to using a spot weld cutter. Use a center punch to each and every spot weld, when cutting spot welds get yourself a cap full of cutting oil and dip the tip of thr cutter in the oil. Thr bit will last you longer and it will cut better and faster.

      Get a new fender off ebay. Buy some paint, paint it and bolt in the new fender in. Find a good door off a salvaged car and bolt it in. That's how it works for most cars idk if it might be slightly different with this car but most people won't see a difference with a new fender and color matching door. Next redo the suspension and you have a car that looks and drives like new.

    It's so inspiring to see how nothing seems to phase you Chris. Love watching your projects take shape and really looking forward to seeing this one too. Would love to see a video on you getting your whole fleet together at some point! Maybe even take them all for a roadtrip, could even auction the drivers seat of each car for charity like Chris Evans does for Children in Need here in the UK. Keep up the great work!

    • @bobroberts2371
      @bobroberts2371 5 년 전

      The problem is he should have put this on a frame bench for a rough pull before removing bent metal. This way metal you are keeping gets bent back into shape. Without doing this you will end up with a mess trying to get welded seams into position. Also making door / trunk gaps even will require loads of filler. Have a look at the channel Arthur tussik for someone that can really work metal.

    • @89ludeawakening1
      @89ludeawakening1 5 년 전 +1

      I do agree about about putting the car on a frame machine, but how does that have anything to do with the original comment?

    • @bobroberts2371
      @bobroberts2371 5 년 전

      The top comment spoke about how others were doubting Chris and they just want to hate.
      The point it, professionals including my self have said this is a hack build and those with little skill say what he is doing is just fine. There is a difference between someone saying that paint colors could be different , paint work a bit better and having metal randomly welded back together. For sub $ 1,000 extra this car could have been put back together in factory condition. At this point it is a hack and has lost $ 10,000 + in value. If he left the stock seats and didn't get a flare kit, the $ would be there and it would have been a good series.
      Have a look at the repair, this is the way to fix something correctly. krplus.net/bidio/c6dldZF3fXuchZw BMW X5. The quarter panel replacement. on the channel Arthur tussik

    • @89ludeawakening1
      @89ludeawakening1 5 년 전 +1

      The top comment is talking about the people doubting him and saying it will cost more to fix the car than it would to buy one in good condition. That has nothing to do with a frame machine. And the comments saying he should've put it on a machine before removing panels are pretty much nonexistent other than yours.

    Chris, this build is cool and will fun to watch but you're next build should be another custom project. Keep pushing your skills and creativity to the next level. Do you think you will be happy rebuilding cars after creating something unique with the 240z? I'd love to see you create something mostly from the ground up with tube frame chassis and carbon fiber/ fiberglass body. Building custom turbo systems with custom manifold/exhaust and intake plenum. Designing parts that are 3d printed and CNCed. Love to see some carbon fiber work as well.
    ( repair the A pillar you broke/make fiberglass mold/ create carbon replacements) I love to take on new projects and see if I can fabricate the solution and I love when you do as well. Would love to see you keep leveling your skill up!
