KISS. Keep it simple stupid. That mantra saves me so much time when I'm working in the shop.
The difference between a $100,000 quality rebuild and a $50,000 smash together... a real mechanic would of made mount's that were clean AF
@@b1ackm3ssiahIt's a long ways from the heart.... A "real mechanic" would charge the customer $500 for new air intake. It'll work for now. Why spend hours on stuff like that when there is a bent subframe and tons of sheet metal work?
@@indyjones3287 takes about 15 mins to fab, weld and paint a bracket. i prefer to do it once and not have to come back to it.

Was thinking the same thing...those intakes were left open to the environment for awhile...worse is some critter hid in there
reminds me of a small refinery we had as a client: someone left a hose out doors, didn't cap it off either, hooked it up one day and had pressure problems. They found a strainer downstream to be clogged with acorns.

I started My G35 back up last weekend after it sat for a year or so with a dead battery lol I’m so excited. I’m about to start the engine rebuild next year and get it back on the road. Can’t wait!

usually when the VDC light, E-break light, and service engine soon light are all on that means you need fluid in your break lines. It should get cleared when you add break fluid.
Vdc lights are on due to Mass air flow sensors unplugged. Will not go away until cleared, vdc uses air volume to control throttle blades to avoid slipping. Only the BRAKE light will illuminate in red when low on brake fluid
VDC Light will come on with low brake fluid or none in the bmc along with the brake light. VDC stands for vehicle dynamic control. Yes it is measured with maf sensors but low fluid in the brakes does cause it too. It will cut throttle and apply brakes to the wheel that’s “slipping”
I'm guessing the car is in limp mode. Could be anything wrong, but we'll know when he checks the codes
Or a wheel speed sensor wiring got ripped off when the rear wheel was violently introduced to the rear bumper.

Try installing all the brakes and topping off fluids before running it for any hard codes. The "Engine Malfunction" should go away. VDC and TC are directly related to the trans. Either sensors are out or the entire system just needs to be reset. Check to see if your COBB has "Trans Tuning/Learning" option on it. The sensors on CBA are real finicky and sensitive. The simplest thing could make certain codes go away. Just keep that in mind during your build and good luck!!

No exhaust so there is a lot of backfiring. It's normal
No exhaust or muffler. If you take the exhaust off a car it tends to sound like a tractor, but it's relatively harmless for just checking if the car runs.
I’m with you @dudeitsroman you can hear a rattle, almost sounds like rod knock.
i work on these cars often, and not for nothing, but they have a tendency to have problems with the bellhousings and it kinda sounds like that to me. hopefully its just because the exhaust is missing

Yes. The real miracle will be the body work on the left side. Installing cheap Chinese air intake and changing brakes can be done in an hour.

Your leg hairs get caught between the socks' fabrics and get twisted and pulled. I sometimes experience the same thing with my arse hair when wearing long johns. Annoying.

It probably would've smoked and the coolant would've had oil in it if the car did have a blown head gasket.

The VDC Is your vehicle dynamic control system. Which monitors the driver motion under certain different driving conditions. Facey foot work basically so you don't trip over.This is going to be one cool build.Awesome work bro.

THANK YOU for adding some light to these suspension parts while you are filming. So many of these rebuilding guys on KRplus just stick the camera into the blackness and then say "you probably can't see back in there but blah blah blah" instead of adding some light so we can actually see what the guy is talking about.

Vac is the traction control system, check for abs sensors on output shafts of rear diff and wheel bearings on front, one might be disconnected or just the lack of brake fluid in abs pump may have caused it
