Should We Facelift The Raptor? Gen 1 ➡ Gen 2 Front End Conversion

Definitely do the facelift! & I know you can handle repairing that frame yourself if you find the brackets on a donor/junk yard raptor. Your welds look really good 👍

The facelift has been done many times. They make box sides as well. It looks deadly. You should do it but buy the fiberwerx stuff

Yes steering and frame geometry is so easy, 0.02mm tolerance in all planes. Should just take it to a frame shop before you started. Then do the bolt on bit's. Your way is going to cause castor and alignment issues.

You should try buying a laser pointer it will help you with pointing stuff out.

If you face lift you’d have to do something with the rear end too. Custom taillights or the new style box would be cool too

You guys are putting an off a lot of faith in that $89 Chinese harbor freight low profile 3 ton floor jack. I hope that’s a hard surface are working on as well. Great truck great video and you’re very resourceful for the amount of tools that you have.

You could benefit from a frame rack. Have a way to anchor the truck and tug on the bent parts. Like poles in the ground at 4 feet on all four corners. Then have a come-along pulling the bent parts.

I have the Nitto 40's on my jeep and have over half tread on them with 30k miles. Ill be staying with Nitto forever now

When the a arm was still attached put a strap on the end of the a arm and attach it to the FJ and drive off in the direction the impact occured
Can usually get it pretty good or it's a good start to continue manual straightening
Rebuilding the mounts is definitely the best method though

Chris, top tip. If you are working under a car (or truck) and there is the remotest chance of it coming off a jack stand or trolley, place the wheel you took off under the chassis (frame) where the front door is. That way you wont get crushed as the vehicle cannot hit the ground.

I live in brazil, my dad got a 2014 FORD Ranger and 2017 ranger only got a Facelift. I was wondering a couple days ago how hard would it be to only facelift the 2014 with 2019 face,the truck is the same, and now you got this video ! lmfao i think the energy of the universe is connected lol, maybe you got this thought from my thinking?
