Not all the time. I got scammed legit on a website for a good amount and I had a he'll of a time. The only thing that saved me is I did all their research about the fraud companies. But even the lady call me and said well what did u order. I told the lady I have no receipt and no confirmation email. I emailed this company about a confirmation number and I got nothing. I had to fight for that monies back even knowing it was plastered all over the internet about how it was a fraud site lol. I actually only found it was fraud by accident but I felt something was fishy anyways when I hadn't received a confirmation. Email. Yes they do to a certain point. Sometimes they're not there to fight your battles. I mean honestly all a bank does really is just hold on to your monies. They're a free body guard really. So what the he'll do they care. But not always do they care to go after this fraud shit.
Sorry for the lengthy reply but hopefully it encourages you to get your hard earn money back. Do a Chargeback against the Merchant its free (as long it doesn't go all the way to Arbitration which in your case it wouldn't). Since the Merchant doesn't have sufficient information to fight the Pre-arbitraiton/Second Chargeback and you have tried to resolved with the Merchant. Your Bank & Visa/MasterCard will side with you. You haven't received what you paid for which will fall under Chargeback reason code 30 (applicable when customers don’t receive the goods or services purchased. It can also be applied to instances in which customers cancel their purchases because they haven’t arrived in the agreed upon time.) Type a quick letter (one paragraph will be fine) with whats happening and attach your supporting documents which will be your emails and submit it to the bank. You'll get a provisional credit and hopefully finalize with in a month. As well it will help the bank know about the merchant being high risk to sell products.

The thing is I am not a car guy, well i do like some sports cars but I am not very interested in custom cars or modding my own, but one day i stumbled across your video and I have to say this is super interesting and I just can't stop watching. Can't sue for slander if you're telling people you're not ordering from them. And on top of that, he never actually bad mouthed them, he said they haven't responded in 17 days and he thinks he got ripped off and was going to wait.

Put the company on blast. No car part takes 20+ days to ship within the US. Put them on blast and flex your influencer muscles a little bit.

Terrible business practice, but smart business practice to not blast a company as an influencer. There *may* still be an explanation, especially if they are overseas.
National Backorders and Specialty parts. They can take much MUCH longer than 20 days. We had to wait 40 days for a quarter panel for a 2018 Subaru Outback (a fucking outback) Winter of 2017. During my time estimating our dealers would get direct from factory quotes of 4-8 days. Two weeks later it would finally ship out. There was a whole month where Chevy (or one of the big US 3) factory directs were 2-3 weeks behind schedule due to a power outage at a US plant & shipping facility.

Not calling out the company is half of it; his blasé attitude about lazily squandering his supporters money is the another. And then on top of that, he pushed the video over the 10 minute mark with more laziness, so youtube will allow him to squeeze another add in wasting even more of our time. If other's don't mind, totally fine. But it's objectively bad form and only in his best interest, not his viewers. (p.s. I'm only bothering to even post this b/c i care about the channel and enjoy it).
Damn that's harsh you guys. I think this was more of a video for the guys who ripped him off. But like he said what if they're sending the parts or whatever and then he orders parts on his own. Makes more sense to send a warning video and then see what happens. He should definitely call them out though once he sees if they ripped them off or not.
