Excellent news that you don't have to take the entire thing apart again. Looking forward to your next builds. Sticking to in the middle builds that are more attainable, is a great idea. People like cars that they can relate to financially, something the average guy could build on a budget. That's why K motor Honda's are so popular, they are cheap to build!
I know nothing about rebuilding cars but I'm always excited for the next build. Always fascinating.

Yep they did and there's a very good reason for doing that. If you don't break it in hard, it will never be a car that can be pushed hard. So because of what they have done it's never going to be as fast as it could have been.

During the time lapse sequences when I see you guys with your phones out, I imagine you're Googling "how to transaxle"
If you keep the vents on the rear part of wide body fenders won’t the vent just rip off since the air keeps piling in there and it has no way for it to escape? I would print another with an opening on the side facing the engine so you have more air flow to your engine and the air has a place to escape.

It’s incredible how intricately everything in a transmission fits together and just works. Lamborghini really knows their stuff when it comes to mechanics :o
That's an Audi R8 gearbox, nothing to do with the Italians 😁
The R8 and huracon/gallardo have the same engine.

I'd recommend Chuckwalla Valley Raceway over Willow Springs. It's a much nicer facility, better track surfaces, cabins you can rent, and it's about 50-60 miles from the Palm Springs area.

Can you finish and do some things with the 240?
Excited about your electric car and have some suggestions. Combining Li ion batteries with super capacitors in parallel. Can regen more and gives more immediate juice to the motor ( throttle response ) also more storage. Then cool them with 3M Novac engineered fluid. Much safer for fire, just plunk any batteries or electronics right in the dielectric fluid. Liquid is easier to regulate temp.

Flood cars a relatively easy to fix. The front and rear passanger side of my 06 Mercedes CL55 AMG was filled with 3 inches of water. Mercedes dealer and my insurance totalled the car and quoted $37,000 to fix it. I gutted the whole interior myself and found 2 blown fuses. Followed the wires from those fuse to a blown telecommunications module and a SAM module. Those two modules cut fuel from reaching the engine. After 1 week, 2 modules, and $1,500 later. My CL55 is still running without a problem even after 4 years.
