@@kamerynvandehey Yup, I hate that wing. Personally, I'm a fan of chassis mount wings on GTRs. Ultimately, it's his car...if he's going to keep that wing I doubt metal mounting plates will eliminate the movement. He just needs some cross bracing.

Put the original wing of the GT-R on it, more stable because it's built for it, and it actually functions aerodynamically, and I personally think it looks awesome!
Should leave that wing in the dumpster behind HF.

No hate on the wing, but is it me or does the GTR kinda look better without it?
Yeah. I'm of the school that says a GT-R should have a big wing, but I think with the wide body and lip spoiler it looks really, really good.
There are 3 good options for GT-R wing, in my opinion: stock wing, nismo wing or trunk lid. The majority of other spoilers just look wrong

1. If you’re going to have a big wing, it needs to be chassis mounted.
2. Headlights: 5 pole relay in the headlight circuit with a input from the ignition
Chris Barrett chassis mount is only necessary for track use, this build is obviously just a show car and will probably never see a track, so who really gives a shit

The whole spill about those seats was that they were going to be more conformable because you "heard" the oem seats were uncomfortable, and now you want to put back oem. So youve replaced uncomfortable seats with other uncomfortable seats and are now looking for some more uncomfortable seats, genius.

God I hate how dirty this car is on the interior. Vacuum? Soft cloth with water? Something--that thing is dank.

My Authentic Voltex Swan neck on my S2k doesn’t have that much movement. You could always sell your rep and go Voltex. Either way great Video Chris!

Dude, your transfer case problem existed long before you did a brody in the parking lot. As I questioned before, it didn't look to me like the front wheels were spinning at all during the donut, so do you know if they locked out AWD in the tune? If not, I'll bet this is just another in a long line of [previous] "wrong owner" problems you have/will encounter.

EFormance Engineering which explains why it broke loose so easy. all wheel drive and those beastly winter tires should hook real nice.

not only widebody pieces, the hood to front bumper line isnt straight either.

It's a clone so no suprise really, can't expect perfection unless you are buying the genuine part imo

Great job Chris. Two things pops in my head. 1.The car is bit too low for practical reason 2. The wing is a little bit ridiculous looking but I love the quirkiness, I would actually modify the connection parts to a straight bracket instead of a dip down goose neck. 3. the crack on the wing is because of the side impact shearing - adjust the base plate angle to be non-parallel will greatly improve the case

I moved to the Medford area from Klamath! I probably know you if you're into cars! Had an s2k, FRS, and now an 18 WRX.
I still have the stock OEM spoiler on my gtr and I love because it flush and matches with the whole car. When you guys look at all the OEM Japanese cars with OEM spoilers all their oem spoiler actually makes sense.

When I had my big wang on my Evo X, I made some cross wires (not sure what exactly to call them) and installed them in an "X" form. Prevented any wobbling going forward.
Mounted on bottom mount bolts and crossed to the top mount bolts. No extra drilling or anything. Can send pictures if you need some help!
Ditch the wing looks better with out it. Love the GT-R can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Naples is by far my favorite place to eat in Downtown Disney. Like the car, would recommend getting rid of the wing mounted to the deck lid. Much better off body mounting it for stability. Other than that and cleaning the inside, great video. Keep it up.
