The way suga is shaking the whole time lol because of this episode I did a deep dive and man I regret not listening to BB. They truly were rockstars. They deserve all the flowers.

As someone who got into kpop because of Bigbang and called myself a 'fan' for the first time because of BTS, this feels so surreal. From what I remember of 2nd gen's time, interviews would generally lean towards a humorous, non-serious vibe, the aim being max viewer entertainment. This is the first time I've gotten to see Taeyang in a setting like this, and solo at that, where his personality shines through so brightly. I don't know if it's just this different setting we get to see him in now, or if it's the passage of time, but I'll be damned if I've seen an idol so... Settled in their own skin before this. He just seems so... At peace with himself. Not saying that he doesn't have worries like any human being, just that he looks remarkably grounded despite any of that.. wow.. this was such a treat to watch

New Kpop Stans who don’t really know Bigbang as well don’t realize how much of an impact this group had on the kpop industry. Bigbang gave YG its name. 2nd gen idol groups like GG, Bigbang, 2NE1, KARA, After School, SHINee and more have been given the title “the idol of idols” (especially BB) for a reason and I motivate people who don’t know them a lot to get into their performances. The men and women who made part of 2nd gen are INSANE. It’s really heart warming to see these 2 sit down and have a sunbaenim hoobae moment

i can really see why bts looked upto bb and taeyang. the guy’s so in tune with himself and reality that it’s fascinating. he has such a calm aura that you want to surround yourself with. despite achieving sm and being so huge early in his life he’s still one of the humblest artists i’ve seen. it’s cool to see him so confident yet so grounded !

When suga said bigbang is legendary it was so true 😭😭. I entered kpop through 3rd generation but I was always amazed by bigbang. No group is like them. Be it taeyang gd top daesung or seungri each one of them is a main character in their own way. Bigbang had dance vocals rap and swag top class. They were truly inspirational to many 3rd and 4th gen idols. I just love bigbang a lot.

Taeyang has such an undeniable presence. We all know how big BTS is, but we can also fathom how huge BigBang is even as foreigners with this interaction. To see Suga have such a fun but polite distance when interacting with him, we can all easily see how much respect the OGs like Taeyang did to pave the way for the next gen artists like Suga. It’s a respect that’s earned throughout the entirety of his career. Even when you didn’t live through the peak of Bigbang’s fame, you can understand the work they put in for our idols of today to almost cower or bow down (sorry for the lack of better term. English isn’t my first language) at their presence. It’s just like a king being in the presence of an emperor. Time takes the wheel and then we have another new generation of artists who would be more relevant than our faves that the new generation would put on the pedestal and sometimes in the process may overlook the impact of the ones that came before. It’s inevitable and that’s why it’s always important for us to look at these idols as humans rather than commodities for our sole entertainment because, they too, come and go. Their work speaks volumes though. We must love & respect their work and humanity first and not stir any unnecessary spite between them and their peers in the industry. Cheer them on. Root for them. Do sth with your life too just like the people we look up to.

I’m watching this as Taeyang’s fan, but as I finished this video, I am more concerned about Suga and other members. As you process their conversations, you realized that they have a lot of worries where Bigbang also experienced before…becoming a soloist and so on. I’m glad that they’ve met and have a deep conversation as an adult rather than talk as just both artist. To Army, please be kind and more patient to your idol. Support them when they comeback after hiatus, don’t sleep at them. I hope and wish that OT7 will be forever. No one wants to see a group to be disbanded. Honestly.
