I sat on the fence about v until I saw the this trailer I waited for the game to go on sale then bought and the Pacific maps are really good just the right size
My favorite part about this trailer is how it tricks you into thinking there's a main character. You see a Japanese Soldier and an American through this battle, and once the Japanese guy dies you go "Yes the hero saves the day" but then he gets shot too. No main characters in war, just senseless death
This is why opening to BF1 was very good and special. Every time you were pushed to another character, it died, giving full name, birth and death date. Too bad the rest of the campaign was screwed up and it became "protagonist" shooter, yet they were very special stories.
For those who are still hesitant on playing BFV, the chaos on 2:14 is surprisingly accurate. You will definitely enjoy all the Pacific theater maps. And for the European and African theater maps, I will recommend Op Underground, Al Marj, Provence, and Twisted Steel.
Man I wish I could play this update for the first time again. The hope given that bf5 will turn around and it was just so fun. It was something fun and unique not to mention the chaos making each game exciting.

Yep they should’ve stuck with bf5 instead of rushing 2042 which going off the horrendous launch should have been delayed, they could’ve kept supporting bf5 up till 2021 maybe 2022 then released bf2042 in late 2022 or early 2023 bc then it wouldn’t have come out as an absolute shamble
I want to live in the alternate universe where they actually finished this game. Eastern front, Italians, a proper late war Western front with D-day and the Battle of the Bulge, etc. This game was really starting to make its comeback (after a terrible launch) right until they decided to just kill it.
This trailer is an absolute masterpiece. Not only did it become one of the franchise's best, but it singlehandedly saved BFV's playerbase in the process.
Still to this day i think this is the absolute best reveal trailer of any game or DLC. I get goosebumps everytime i watch this trailer. Even tho i dont play BFV anymore i sometimes just watch this and remember how epic it was playing the pacific DLC for the first time.
Imagine if DICE had continued to add this type of content to Battlefield V instead of dropping support for it a year early to make the disaster that ended up being 2042.
Imagine if Bfv kept on being developed. We could have had eastern front, more factions, could have been the best ww2 game of all time but they had to to go and make a game that pretty much has the same amount of players as the year the game is set in
Don't know why people say "This game had so much potential" etc etc. Most people don't see past all the controversy around the game, but if you actually play it, it's an incredible game, and one of the best battlefield experiences. It's extremely immersive, and has amazing gunfights and general gameplay. Just play it and you'll see!
I love this game so much, it has the best gunplay, best movement and best destruction(As well as my favorite Tank gameplay and tons of other features compared to the other. Battlefields). Wish they would keep updating the game, it was stepping into the right direction but it's a shame that they dropped it for 2042 and most definitely won't come back to V
Battlefield 5 compared to battlefield 2042 is a great game, a shame that people did not know how to appreciate it but the worst of all this is that the DICE people abandoned battlefield 5 to develop battlefield 2042 better they would have continued giving content because this game had everything until a battleroyale as firestorm

Battle Royale is a wasted mode and wasted space, movement is alright, but TTK is awful. More updates wouldn’t have done the game much good because it’s clear DICE didn’t care about the game. The game was done from the moment it made it on the drawing board. If the devs have no clear vision from the start like they did with BF1, then the game is bound to fail before development even begins. It’s clear that that DICE had no intentions on making a WW2 game much less a good game, trust me; the first ideas that crossed their mind when they began putting ideas on the white board: the Soviet Union, War In Africa, Finland, China, Australia, none of those came to mind, what came to their minds first was what we got in the first trailer, a political, trend chasing, money making, vision less disaster. It’s especially tragic because seems the fans cared more about Battlefield V being a good game than the devs themselves. Though EA has influence on DICE, DICE always has the major influence on the product they’re going to make, all the devs that made BF1 left, and the new hires were feminists with Blue hair. The person who was in charge of the pacific maps was someone they brought from outside after they saw how badly BFV was doing in an attempt to turn the game around, but sad truth is like I said, game was far from being salvageable. Battlefield as a franchise will remain in this state until DICE hires once again competent people who have vision, passion, and talent.
I wasn’t much a battlefield fan nor played any of the battlefield games until I saw this dlc trailer which pretty much made me give battlefield a chance and I loved it
This is probably one of the few game trailers which I feel like accurately represents how the gameplay actually is. I remember when the update dropped and it felt so intense.

Probably won’t happen. BFV is meant to focus on the lesser known, more obscure battles of WWII. Of course, if they want to, they could absolutely ignore that rule. But who knows.

“Immersive” is a stretch when I hear women screaming louder than the explosions and gunfire.
The only thing that kills it for me is the vehicle/weapon lvl system. I dislike it a lot.

@@comicdonutman6790 the guns variety and customization was a downgrade but idk this game was genuinely my favorite bf game, because it has that gunplay and ttk that's just a tad bit worse than bf3 and bf4 with maps more fleshed out than bf1 so it was the best of both worlds for me

Probably won’t happen. BFV is meant to focus on the lesser known, more obscure battles of WWII. Of course, if they want to, they could absolutely ignore that rule. But who knows.

We are clearly getting something big and a developer said we are getting something “less pacific after chapter 6” there were Bangalore’s spotted in the files as well. The only true way they can save this game is if they add the eastern front which is obvious, and or D day.
To bad, they could have explored so many unpopular WW2 battles, such as the Italian front, or the battles in northern and northeastern Africa, the winter war, and so many more.
This is such an awesome trailer, I wish they could have expanded more upon the game. It definitely could make a comeback
