I like how smoothly these segments go. Unlike most talk shows, this show always feels like a random group of people having a chat on a couch rather than a forced, formal interview. Everyone seems themselves, relaxed, open.

It's EASILY the best talk show in the world. The alcohol probably has a little to do with it, but it's also got a big part to do with Graham's sense of humour, and the fact that nothing is off limits the way things are on American talk shows. People can swear, and tell stories they'd never get away with elsewhere, and I think that makes people open up and be themselves more. Keep in mind that Graham asks questions that lead the guests into telling stories that they wouldn't be led to on an American show.
Yurek Hunt so true yurek EXCEPT when the Hollywood suits insist graham do the publicity which he often gets out of the way as quickly as possible. Also graham is very very skilled . Ars Celare Artis as they say.
Yep and no silly gimmicks or games for the most part. On US shows aside from a couple like Colbert, itโs essentially a game show with no actual proper conversations. Colbert is the best of the bunch I think though because he does try to push the flap and ask difficult questions sometimes, heโs not chicken.

โ@@maxriley3888 Hi there. The joke, for me, was the idea that Tinie Tempah's interest in taxidermy as a way into being surrounded by "exotic animals" being connected, somehow, with his African roots is the "joke".
I'm just quite tired of people thinking we live cheek by jowl with big cats, rhinos etc. in Africa.

I'm not sure people outside GB realise that banter is such a thing here... everyone is a comedian and there really isn't an explanation for it. Just a love of wordplay, punnery etc.
I'm Canadian, and good-natured banter is a part of everyday conversation for most of us. There tends to be a lot of banter on American talk shows between the host and guests and among guests, when there's more than one on at a time.
Corden has them play games. Jimmy Kimmel's guests used to drink backstage before their turn, which led to fun convos, because Jimmy drank, too.
Stephen Colbert is known to have a bottle of his favourite scotch or bourbon at his desk, which he uses for humour - when there's outrageous political news to dissect - or to celebrate some achievement.
Graham has so brought the 'interview' to a modern level and he doesn't have to try hard. He's on his own in this era just like Parkie was before him. BTW Ruth Wilson is fine!

Link My Love He's so randomly passionate about that. Like, there are far worse things going on in the world. He could be donating to this vet that goes around rescuing and trying to save abused animals and he could be spreading awareness about it. Not that many people even have exotic pets. It's cool that he mentioned it a few times, and I agree with him, but I just don't see why that's all he talks about philanthropically. It's like he feels superior because he realized this one thing that's going on is wrong. We went through that phase in high school. Now we adults know that the whole world is bad.

gareth cooney I know itโs a year old but he was joking about the bringing it to London part. He adopted a cheetah from an animal orphanage and essentially will be responsible for donating towards its protection and care. It was probably a baby cheetah that lost its mother.

Speaking of swimming pools, I used to have this irrational fear of pool vacuums. I didn't think it was going to attack me or suck me up or anything, but there was an eerie thing about it moving so slowly and quietly. When I put it out of my mind, knowing exactly where it was, it would be in a completely new spot a minute later and that kinda low-key freaked me out.

I live in Queensland Australia and it's not dangerous imo, i haven't known of anyone who has died or been seriously injured by our wildlife and our rainforests are my favorite place to explore, as long as you're not a complete idiot you will come out without a scratch

But look at this from Wikipedia: "Funnel-webs make their burrows in moist, cool, sheltered habitats-under rocks, in and under rotting logs, some in rough-barked trees (occasionally metres above ground)." He must've been thinking about the last-mentioned (or other spiders.)
