And Matt was almost in jail and then suicide. It’s like these people die exactly how their characters said they would die.

Naya is the one celebrity death that has really hit me hard. Thinking about the love she had for her son and his love for her tears me up every time I hear this song. I sob. Her version of Songbird was my wedding song. Naya was an amazing talent, mother, and human. ❤️

What's special to me is certain photographs that hit me because I have photos of me and my child and I have the same look of total peace, bliss, and love. When she sing “if I die young” and she dies young. she sings “sink me in the river at dawn” she drowned in a lake, and when she sings “I’ll be wearing white” she was wearing white shorts when she died, and when she sings “ I’ll shine down on my mother, she’ll know I’m safe with you” she sang this as a tribute to Cory and was found on the 7th year anniversary of Cory’s death and her and Cory wore not only co-stars but wore also great friends in real life, she described Cory as been like a big brother to her.

First time when I heard this song I was sad. Santana was my favourite character. And Naya, oh. But at the same time I was allright because I knew she is still here. Of course I feel sad about Cory. No matter what, I will be always so sad about that. But when I saw her here in this performace, I feel so safe that time. Maybe that´s why I was in such a shock, when she passed away last year. I imaged her in the future so many times, because she was my role model. It´s still hard to believe she is not here anymore. I miss her so much.

The producers felt it was such a good take that they decided to roll with it and let everybody go with their emotions that day. Everything shown in that episode is real emotions. None of it is scripted or acted.
this is so sad, she didn't have to reach far to feel that pain in this scene. she tried so hard to pull the cast through this episode. naya was such a passionate, misunderstood, strong woman and it is tragic to have it come to light only after her passing. she and Cory are definitely best friending it together somewhere free of the pain of their physical lives

That whole season was heart breaking, but one of my favorite. It feels like we get to see the actors and characters experience the same real emotions .
I heard the original song playing in a store the other day, and started to tear up because all I could think of was Naya singing this, and how hearbreaking it turned out to be.
I remember hearing of Corys death like it was yesterday. I was in my mom's room playing minecraft with her and her then boyfriend at the time now husband... Her boyfriend had made a comment that one of the actors from Glee had died and I had this sinking feeling in my gut. I had asked him who it was hopeing to gods it wasnt who I thought it was... But to my dismay I was right... He had said it was the one who played Finn. At first I sat there in pure shock, it didn't fully sink in until my mom had asked me if I was ok.... I went into the bathroom to cry because I hated people seeing me cry and vulnerable, but that was the first time my panic attacks started. I had locked my self in the bath tub and started crying and screaming, and I had stayed in there the whole day. My family tried to come in and to comfort me but I kinda just shut everyone out for the day. It had hit me really hard, I was always a Finn fangirl, I remember when I saw the glee 3D movie telling myself that one day I wanted to meet him to get to tell him how he ment so much to me and even to this day he helps me cope with life changing for the good and the bad. I was 11 when I was first introduced to Glee.. I was 13 when Cory died... I'm 19 almost 20 now and Cory will always be in my heart and I like to pretend that when I look up to the sky the first star I see is Cory looking over everyone he had ever cared about and who had ever cared about him. After all he did buy a star and name it Finn, because there is already a star named Rachel Berry and she is here on earth, but now when ever she feels lonely no matter where he is Cory is here with us...

I remember hearing of Corys death like it was yesterday. I was in my mom's room playing minecraft with her and her then boyfriend at the time now husband... Her boyfriend had made a comment that one of the actors from Glee had died and I had this sinking feeling in my gut. I had asked him who it was hopeing to gods it wasnt who I thought it was... But to my dismay I was right... He had said it was the one who played Finn. At first I sat there in pure shock, it didn't fully sink in until my mom had asked me if I was ok.... I went into the bathroom to cry because I hated people seeing me cry and vulnerable, but that was the first time my panic attacks started. I had locked my self in the bath tub and started crying and screaming, and I had stayed in there the whole day. My family tried to come in and to comfort me but I kinda just shut everyone out for the day. It had hit me really hard, I was always a Finn fangirl, I remember when I saw the glee 3D movie telling myself that one day I wanted to meet him to get to tell him how he ment so much to me and even to this day he helps me cope with life changing for the good and the bad. I was 11 when I was first introduced to Glee.. I was 13 when Cory died... I'm 19 almost 20 now and Cory will always be in my heart and I like to pretend that when I look up to the sky the first star I see is Cory looking over everyone he had ever cared about and who had ever cared about him. SYLAR GAMEPLAYS it was likely cold water shock, it’s very hard to drown yourself on purpose. It breaks my heart that people are tarnishing her character and making her seem like a bad mother by saying that she killed herself in front of her son. Accidents happen. Yes she wasn’t wearing her life vest but that doesn’t mean she intended to hurt herself, cold water shock can happen to even the strongest of swimmers and that’s why you should never go swimming in open water regardless of how hot a day it is. Especially without anyone else to help you

To me this was one of the best and definitely most emotional songs in the show, especially with the ture emotions behind the song. May they both rest in peace. Her cover of the song goes out to both of them.
