When you swapped out the blue Holzfforma saw was it because the wood was really hard and the Stihl revs higher and can cut it more easily?

Elm is interesting because most Elm trees died in the 1970's due to the epidemic of Dutch Elm Disease spread by a beetle. But maybe it didn't reach the country where this is filmed
I do know that around here in Kent, England there are still dead Elm trees showing the marks the beetle makes, but the trees are still standing. It's taken over 50 years for them to decay away.
So getting relatively new Elm wood is a very big deal.

if you want the g888 to rev higher just get an 880 magnum coil for it, they're both limited coils but the stihl has a higher rev limit

Grüße. Darf ich fragen welche Kette ihr verwendet. Normale 1,5mm bzw. 1,6mm oder Längsschnitt mit 1,3mm.
Мне жалко такое красивое и не сгнившие 🌲 дерево пилить .Оно могло бы ещё пожить ! А теперь оно пойдет на продажу как лес на постройку какого-то дома ,или как красивые манументы, и это будет стоить не малых денег.
