    One pf the best videos of modern technology ive ever seen. It doesnt appear complicated and its only a relatively small peace of machinery but its so clean and precise. Resembles something of what humans thought the future was gonna be like in the 90s.

      @@Sharpless2 To be fair it is essentially a tool riding left and right along a screw with a motor strapped to it to cut a chunk of metal strapped to another motor turning the part into the tool. With a basic understanding of simple machines and a 30 second video of operation most mechanically minded people can get 80% of what is happening. The other 20% is software and electronics.

      @@bosskeystore8694 Its the 20% that is so complicated. What if i asked you to put together the hardware and quickly whip up some software to control a 3 or 5 axis cnc with no prior knowledge on programming.
      Its never as simple as it looks.

      Become a CNC Machinist. To start, I went to NTMA in Costa Mesa, CA some years back. Study up on your Boolean Algebra, Sines, Cosines, and Tangents, then have at it. By the way, the U.S. Marine Corps made sure mine was paid for by the VA. Semper Fi.

      @@Dr.Kay_R Are you a scientist? I have a doubt.According to Charles Darwin, the survival of the fittest or natural selection of nature caused the evolution of diverse organisms on earth. So, because of the structure and conditions on earth, life form is generated this way.
      Now, if on some other planet in a different solar system had a different atmosphere on it's surface, it might lead to the generation of different sentient beings.
      And if we don't know their physical shape or behavioral pattern of those sentient beings, we can't know they exist, for example, the beings can be made up of metals, and they might have different modes of communication,etc.
      In essence, they have a system of their own in the same way as we does.
      Is it a possible scenario?

    Most amazing part to me is a mechanical engineer designed and built the machine that does this from the box that contains the process to every gear and head stock.

      You know they don’t just press a button? it requires hours of setting up a 3-D model on a program like solid works. And a program that you either have to type or generate through a CAD program. These software‘s are also thousands of dollars. Just like the machine. I forgot to add the machine doesn’t know anything you have to tell it where everything is every single time you use it. All it knows is numbers.

So the only part that's "wasted" is the scraps of the last bar you have used, and that is until you use another. Plus, like the commenter above me said, the bars themselves are relatively cheap unless you use some fancy alloy that costs a shit ton of money

      Very nice 👌 you have a specific place and precision toolset to deal with and I guess it’s the game of patience .
      I was industrial electrician used to watch when ever I happened to be in shop floor . Mostly our work troubleshooting of cement machineries nobody even bothers what we do they wanted everything running 😢.

      I don't know very much about it. Is this technically a cnc machine? What is that tool head made of is it diamond tipped etc?

      If it’s being controlled by a computer then it’s cnc, computer numerical control, tool heads tend to be carbide, especially when machining steel, it needs to be a material with a higher hardness index than the material it is cutting

    In all the videos I watch of maching metal or wood, they put a 6" piece of stock to turn a chess piece. I worked in a fab shop for years. I was taught to save every piece I could because it could be used on a potential job. The only scrap we had, nothing else could be gotten out of it.

      Профессионал чего, когда станок делает сам, с ЧПУ управлением. Вот если бы он в ручную это сделал, хотя это самая простая работа на токарном станке. Фигуру просят выточить на практике у учеников.

    you let the software generate the tool path,
    all the programmer does is identify the surface to be machined and pick the tooling to be used.
