I love how Whitney just owned and knew who she was and it didn’t matter what anyone said. Didn’t phase her: I remember thinking how I thought she was cheeky, feisty but now I know and understand that she was a force and knew exactly why she was here and what she came to do.

Actually this is not the case. Yea, she always been thin, but when she was heavily doing drugs she became freakishly thin. During the infamous Michael Jackson tribute performance in 2001, she literally shocked the world with her abnormally thin frame.

CORRECTION!!!! Clive Davis didn't have her in anything. CISSY and WHITNEY picked out her clothes early on. She even said that her mom rejected the stuff Arista tried to put her in in the early days. Whitney got into dressing herself later as designers began sending her dresses and such.

Everyone lip synced on Soul Train as it's much easier to get guests to come-on when they're in-town with very little preparation. Also, most people who haven't worked TV production don’t understand that recording a live TV singing performance is much more difficult due the audio aspect of it--it makes recording it much more difficult. The acoustics of it. You to have a whole crew for that and pay that crew. So it's much easier to book a guest, because you don't have to have all that preparation. They can just swoop-in and lip sync without any rehearsal. That's why if you see a cell phone recording of a live concert it always sounds like shat!!!

Wigs have come leaps and bounds..not sure if that’s her real hair but it has no movement..first time I’ve seen black peoples dancing all off beat..I know they’re not hearing the music in real time probably..if they were then it’s a shame and a scandal..Whitney has her interview voice cause she was still new..she had a fantastic voice.
I think they weren't use to pop. Whitney Houston was more of a pop Artist vs a R&B artist. Clive Davis even admitted that he didn't want her to be a R&B artist.
QBee240 not a wig. Girl we spritzed and hair sprayed our head to death to keep the styles. Finger waves, bee hives, bobs, whatever. We knew black girls didn’t have silky Elvira Indian hair and we were cool with our texture.
