Chiefs aren't uncovering another Tyreek Hill in this draft or the next several drafts. If it was possible, other teams would have done it by now. He's a one in a million talent, but KC couldn't afford him if he wasn't willing to take less than he probably deserves, and he wasn't willing to help keep the band together (until Kelce retires). This KC fan will miss him and his contributions, but I applaud his past contributions and wish him continued success.

Chiefs problem in Bengals game is they failed to run the ball. When Chiefs were in early season slump they won the next 8 games by running the ball.

They will miss Tyreek but it was a business move. This now makes Patrick and this offense have to evolve. They’ll be able to get a receiver or two in the draft and be balanced on offense and defense.

I don't think they'll regret it they just need to change their scheme. Use their running game it was doing well but they always ignore it! Safety Dan is correct about not having enough money. All KC needs is their O-Line, Kelsey, running game, some decent receivers, and a top 10 defense.

The reality is in the last 4 years with Hill, KC only won 1 SB and fell short the other 3 years. I don’t see how spending even more cap space and money on Hill was going to improve their chances of winning another. Now with the picks and cap space, KC can make their team more balanced and not so top heavy. Teams were just running 2 high safeties every play anyway.

I hear what Stephen A is saying but if you tie up most of your salary cap on just 2 players and don't have anymore cap room to improve the defense or offensive line, then it'll be extremely difficult if not impossible for KC to win another championship. I mean as great as Mahomes is, we all saw during that superbowl against Brady and the TB Bucs what happens when he didn't have any protection in the pocket. He was running for his life literally almost every snap.
And even with the trade, KC still have some weapons for Mahomes with Ju Ju Smith and now that they signed Valdez. Sure they are no Tyreek Hill but they're definitely be play makers for Mahomes.
And with all the draft picks KC got in return for the trade, I 100% believe KC made the right move.

I hope Dan’s right and the Chiefs are taking a look at the RPO centric play-calling. Could not agree more that they have too good of a QB + O-Line to rely as heavily on it as they do. The offense only evolves if they start expanding the run game and developing the play action. RPO can’t be our only run plays anymore.

tyreek is one of one but when you have mahomes at qb, a wr like hill isn’t necessary at the cost. however, i am a dolphins fan and am just very happy to have a guy like him on our roster

If you ever play madden franchise mode you know you gotta trade one of these top players after you pay ur qb. Not the 1st year of the max deal but the 2nd year.

To add to Orlovsky, you can also utilize those picks to beef up the defense. Let's be real, the Bills straight up demoralized that defense in the playoffs and the Chiefs were LUCKY to escape that game. That was not a championship level defense.

It will hurt them short term unless Mahomes gets better at his fundamentals. Reek allowed Mahomes to do backyard football instead of him being able to do underneath stuff. Mahomes has been bad when it's two high safeties.
People forget how many times games has seemed out of hand and Patrick just chunks it up to Reek to make an instant turn around. If Mahomes can work on the fundamentals they'll be good. And I don't blame the Chiefs for trading him giving what he was asking for

Brett Veach is the best GM in football as we speak. You flip Hill for a bunch of picks in a draft you can pick up either a solid receiver and/or a possible solid defensive starter and then he signs MVS, just the big bodied speedy receiver they’ve needed, along with still keeping Gordon in the fold, Jody Fortson & saved a ton of cap.
Any GM can go and make splash moves to get all pro players and load up the brinks trucks for ‘em but only the true elite can flip value for value in the matter of hours. The Chiefs are playing chess and the rest of the NFL is playing Checkers. ✌🏼
Hill had a ton of drops by the way and bc he was so talented, it clustered the offense to have to focus on a specific coverage teams would play against them, now teams will have to play honest football against Patrick Mahomes and maybe a great offensive line coming into their own.
One last thing, Hill had 21 catches for 40+ yds Patrick Mahomes was his QB.

The most important thing Dan said was that you can’t make your football team better if you’re paying your quarterback and you’re wide receiver premium money. For that reason alone the Chiefs won’t regret the move. The team will be different moving forward, but it can be a better team.

So, over the next 4 years ,by then, maybe, maybe not the Chiefs could have put up another title with Hill on the team.
But by then, they'll have nowhere near the trade value out of Hill when he's 32, rather than doing it now after Hill has already helped the Chiefs win a new title, and at 32, he would more than likely have slowed down a bit.
Meco is 24, and just as fast as hill, he just doesn't run routes as good as hill, but, he's improved a lot in that category, and worked on his hands as well.
Also the Chiefs have signed other top end receivers, and on top of that, may get another hot shot receiver out of the draft
There's no way they could pass up on all those draft picks, plus being able to save all that money.
I think the biggest thing Mahomes will miss out of Hill, is on those broken down plays when Mahomes has to scramble around, Hill had the great ability of getting open to help Mahomes make something out of the play, rather than just having to throw it away, or run out of bounds, or take a sack, but that doesn't mean KC's receivers still won't be able to continue achieving this through a lot of practice and getting to know each other.
But this nonsense about Mahomes won't be able to find receivers because Hill is now gone is comedy, Mahomes has thrown to other receivers, it's just that they all played behind Hill, Kelce, so they weren't getting the ball as much.
When Hill missed a game this past season, Mahomes threw to Pringle and the Chiefs won, Pringle had 100 yards.

You don’t need to find another tyreek hill. It’s a business and in reality if you have someone who has 100 receptions and they want 120 mil and you can’t pay for it. You find a receiver who can get you 70-80 then find a tight end who can get you 50 or a running back that can run the ball 20-25 times. You can find other talent else where. Marvin Harrison successor was Reggie Wayne. Mike Wallace santino Holmes to Antonio brown. Maybe not the best expamplrs but you can replace ppl with good or very good players. It’s the NFL and you can replace ppl. Find a receiver who can get you 70-80 catches who is dependable and let the offense flourish with other talent. You only made it to the conference champs. So you either have to find a way to upgrade or you losing yourself out the race. Andy Reid teams are always so consistent. And he has a pat mahoems who is a better mcnabb. I will run with that honestly. Plus they build around thier oline. A great QB with a Great Oline will score on anyone. Doesn’t matter the receivers. Honestly if you build like NE OR INDY built having a top 2 qb with a great oline. You’ll prolly see Mahoney hit Tom Brady status on the field. When you are going to produce you can plug any receiver in the lineup.
