Yeah I agree Disney did a great job with the songs and overall for everything ^^ Also I heard somewhere that pepa’s va did both English and Spanish which they sound alike lol-
Yes, Disney has always been very strict with the voice dubbing accuracy in their productions. Voice casting directors around the world have a hard job with getting the green light for the right voice actors... but as you can hear, it pays off in the end!
HOW? How did they make everyone sound almost exactly the same? Casting? Voice processing? Both? How? This is AMAZING! I'd love to see a technical documentary on the entire thing. O_O
I'm always astounded when I see the perfection in choosing the voices. They have similar timber, tone, intonation. Disney's voice over job is superb and the voices chosen from region to region top-notch. WOW
I love that there’s certain Spanish words that carry over regardless of language, like Félix saying “mi vida” in French, or abuela saying “Oye” in Vietnamese.
@@trafalgarq805 i know, and I love it. They didn’t have to keep those phrases in Spanish. An English speaking audience, especially an American one, is I think fairly used to hearing Spanish phrases in a mostly English conversation, even if they don’t use Spanish personally. The same is likely not true of a Vietnamese audience, yet they still kept it.
This is amazing. The voices sound similar, it still rhymes in each language, the meaning of the lyrics is preserved, the rhythm remains consistent, it’a easy to tell how much effort went into this.
its incredibly impressive that regardless of language that generally the voices sound the same. there are subtle differences but the tone is the exact same.
I actually think only 2 of them have the best lines and voice, Dolores eng and spanish va doesn't even know how to sing, sadly Camilo and Dolores have little screen time
The voices, the tune and even the transition of languages makes this look like a universal masterpiece.Great job to the voice actors and the people who worked on this film.Props to you Disney team!!!
oh dear goodness ... literally got frickin goosebumps.. how they managed to find the perfect voice actors in every single language, I will never understand. They literally almost sounded the same. Props, really. 👏🏼👏🏼
That's exactly my thoughts. Like, it's literally all the same voices. I found English to Spanish to French so cool, since I thought: "Yeah maybe, it's the same voice actors and they just know these languages" lmao
okay but why does it sound SO GOOD in every SINGLE LANGUAGE!!???!? the transitions too and the voice, it sounds like it's almost by the same people, so sick!!
As a bilingual person the fact that it was able to transition so smoothly is amazing! I didn’t even notice that the language changed no it was interesting to see this beloved sing in different parts of the world
Underrated: every language by nature has a very different cadence and attitude to it, but they retain the Colombian sound regardless of the language swaps
They also change the lyrics a bit too, so I’d love to see how they translated it. In the Hebrew version, of a Mulan song, they changed pork, beef, chicken, to fish, beef, chicken because pork isn’t kosher, so it was changed for cultural reasons

The most impressive thing about this is how smoothly each language matches up with the next. It sounds like one song done in the same take! Incredible!
Part of that was due to the order of the languages and the placement of traditions. If you noticed romantic languages like Italian, French and Spanish where all ordered together and Asian languages like Mandarin, Korean and Japanese where too where mainly sequenced together as well. They changed the regions based on vocal pauses and part changes so that it would sound more seamless when you went from Dutch to Mandarin for example.
@@RoseyVamp not true, italian was not close to french and spanish and portuguese was also in a separate part, even though they're all romantic languages.
Wow, QC is INCREDIBLE here. They each sound like the same people just speaking different languages, the rhythms are mostly the same, they all actually rhyme in the right places, and most of the recordings themselves sound pretty high quality.
They hire professional translators that can adapt the music to carry the same cadences and moods. Dutch is a great example, because of Camilo's part they purposefully give him Dutch words that are very glottal and phlegmatic.
Camilo, Dolores and Bruno definitely deserved a song in this movie, all their voices are amazing, we already saw all 3 of them have parts in songs in the movie, and i think a lot of people would’ve liked to see a song about the other side of bruno and his personality
It probably wouldn't have worked to give Camilo, Dolores, and Bruno, their own songs. Encanto is already an hour and forty nine minutes long. To add anymore songs would likely have made the movie feel too long.
When "Frozen" came out, Disney released the multilanguage version of "Let It Go" as a digital single, as well as a digital album containing the song in ALL FORTY-TWO LANGUAGES. We need the same type of release for "Bruno" -- and for most of the other songs as well, for that matter.
The fact that a lot of the time the characters look like they are speaking the other language combined with the great cast to make it sound like it's the same person singing is just amazing.
I disagree with 1 of them sounding good, the Dutch really doesn't sound good to me maybe just a me thing, but it just doesn't click as well as any of the other languages, and the lyrics sound almost infantile
Absolutely LOVED Dolores' part, German, Greek and Polish were so good together. And Camilo's part in Dutch was so nice even though his voice changed a lot.
The transitions are so seamless, the voices are so similar and beautiful. If someone told me that this is just one language, I would have believed it, had I not seen the video or listen properly.
Italian and German va for Camilo is actually the same person. It's Alvaro Soler and guess what he's neither Italian not German but the pronounce is literally perfect
@@imcairoaguero_ The lyrics that she is singing using Vietnamese is "Oye, Mariano đến đây rồi." Which translate to English is "Oye, Mariano have arrived."
actually, for the spanish version some some members of the cast (like Tía Pepa and Tío Felix even Mariano!!) give them their characters voice again in spanish thats why they sound the same in We Don't Talk About Bruno.
All of the voice actors actually had to audition to get the part. They have to send the audition tape to the head office of Disney and Disney will handpicked them. That's why all the voices are almost identical.

German, Greek, Polish: these languages have no relation whatsoever. Yet, at Dolores's part they have been combined so smoothly! Also thumbs up especially for the hissing sound in each one!

How does the song fit in every language? Like, usually when you translate lyrics into other languages, there's always at least one language where the lyrics don't quite fit the beat and/or melody somehow. But this one just...it sounds good in every one of the languages presented here. Plus the voice actors all sound the same, lol. It just...really well done!
Not sure if rhetorical, but incase it isn't. Without giving too technical of an answer, it honestly have too do with the way the original song was made. It needed to have a firm beat, that was still easy to play with the timing on, as well as the original songtext needed to be easy enough to convert and make subtle changes to inorder to get the different versions to match. If you listen to it you can hear that the chords have the same progression on all parts of the song, even though the rythm is wastly different, hence why the finally bit where everyone sings works so well. So if there still was a question if Lin-Manuel Miranda was good at his job, then this should fix that.
@@drakologx5085 Oh, no, I love the song in all of these languages! It takes a considerable amount of talent on behalf of the songwriter and singers to pull off a song like this, and they managed to do it in every single language showcased here! I was just marveling at how well it works, is all, lol. I do appreciate your answer, though. :)
In some of the songs it didn't work very well, example Bruno's part in "All of you" in polish. The poor voice actor sounds like he is struggling so much.
This is actually INSANE. I can't start to imagine the effort it would take to compose and edit the song in that many languages. What's also insane is how SIMALAR ALL OF THEM SOUND. It's amazing! It'd be insane if it were the same voice actors doing more than 1 language for a whole movie.
It’s so impressive how each version of the song has the exact same voice as the original! It’s like they go the same voice actors but made them sing in different languages.
If im nlt wrong, most of the cast dubbed both the english and spanish version, and one of the VAs also did their character in italian because they knew the language

It's fate that even Abuela can't do anything about it

All: You can't talk about Bruno!
Mirabel: I should not have asked about Bruno!
This casting is genuinely one of the very best Disney has ever done. Like it's honestly impressive.
Ikr
Disney knew that people loved this song so much, that they even had the guts to add 21 languages in them.
Even more, there’s Arabic and Hebrew, canto, mainland mandarian as well.
XD
Disney always does dubs of movirs, this is not something uncommon xd
It happens like... Everywhere or in every series or movie, even if it's not of disney
They have been dubbing their shows and movies for their international audience since a long time now...
There's actually over 30 international versions of this movie (and song) currently and there's probably more to come
It’s so good! I love the transitions soo much!! They have really good voices even in all different languages!
This smooth transition... we need a medal here.
It's amazing how wonderful this song is in any language, without exception! Disney did a great job on this film, they deserved the Golden Globe they won!
Yeah!
which one did they win?
Wow, ang galing kumanta nina Pepa at Felix!
@@youredelicious9945 Best Animated Film! ^-^
Really impressed they managed to find singers for all those languages that have such a similar sound
I think they are the same actors
@@mostafahassan40 So you're saying Dolores' VA can speak english, vietnamese, greek, polish, AND german? yeah right.
@@crimsonfox8496 you don’t have to speak them to Be able to sing in them

Dolores in Greek so pretty!
Isabel in Russian is pretty too!
And Mirabel in Italian, also in Euro Portuguese

声がにてる人を選んでるって聞いたことあるけど、本当に分からない!✨
As someone who speaks multiple languages, it’s incredible that no matter which language you hear it, the music in Encanto is addicting to listen to.
I think Disney struck gold with this movie. One of my personal favorites in a long time.
yep, I don't like Encanto but this song in several language really slaps as someone who study multiple languages too!
the fact that they manage to make the characters lips sync with the lyrics without barely changing the animation is so great!
the animation doesn't change. Not even a bit.
Sei não ein portugues fica as vezes com um desvolume labial muito estranho hahaha mas mesmo assim fico incrivel mesmo

2:31 OMG OMG OMG MY LANGUAGE, I'M SO HAPPY U JUST MADE MY DAY, I'M THAT HAPPY BECAUSE MY LANGUAGE ISN'T VERY POPULAR
I like the timing of the transition of changing languages.
