I used to watch motorcycle racing (Moto GP and WSBK) and I believe he was the commentator for Eurosport. Calls bike racing in the same way he did moto.
What a shift from Tarling. Could have given up at any point after bridging that gap but kept on fighting to hang on. Not a win but a great lesson for him and nice to see him at the pointy end of the race

Losing their best classics and stage hunter is surely a big hit and winning this B-tier race is just a small consolidation.

It was a mistake to send bigger names in a smaller race like this one, like Wout Van Aert, Mads Petersen and other favorites who had a chance in the big classics and races without the extra effort here and jeopardizing a good chunk of their competitive season.

@@derekkuhl not necessarily. No Classics, no Giro, but after 6 weeks he can be back on the bike. Not race ready. but he can be training again by mid May. 6 weeks max for someone his age. The next 2-3 weeks will be brutal for him though. The ribs, they're gonna hurt and there's nothing he can do about it.

Why do you guys make the videos without the live commentary? The narration of what happened in the race with very little emotion is not very exciting. I pay for Eurosport but sometimes I want to watch the highlights.
I wonder if this is a conscious attempt by Eurosport to push people to subscribe to their service.

It''s a brief summary - not a breakdown. There are other places for the stuff you're looking for.
Kirby doesn't summarize anything, he just talks silly fluff. When others provide brief commentary you understand the key basics of what happened. @@heliumtrophy

I live in the same city Matteo is from, Boise, my buddy saw him riding this past year, training up the local mountain, stopped to chat with him and got a fanboy pic with him. Great guy. He's had some really promising past couple years. Two wins already this spring and on the best team, things looking up for the young man.
