You can just tell more love went into the stay puft boss since he's an entire build but Rowan was just a big Lego minifigure

Ironic, a ton of love went into the first 2 movies. No love went into the 3 movie
He does have some magma on his face wich does make up for the biggifigure.
Personally I believe that lego Ghostbusters should have its own game like lego Jurassic World, sure it has interpreted into lego dimension’s but I believe it deserves its own solo game series accompanying with the newly released Ghostbusters Afterlife.

the 1984 is MUCH MUCH MUCH better - maximum detail, whereas the 2016 one is a molded head with a minifig body.

The way the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was built... I'd love to see him as an actual set one day, alongside the four Ghostbusters and the top of 550 Central Park West/Spook Central/Gozer's Temple so kids and adults alike can reenact the famous 'Cross The Streams' scene. Of course, the game left out one of the best parts of the aftermath of Stay Puft's destruction - Walter Peck getting a whole boatload of liquid marshmallow dumped on him from above.

The quality difference of the two movies really transitioned well to their respective Boss Battles:
1984s Stay Puft is a sight to behold, an enormous LEGO Construction made of thousands of pieces; 2016s is a hyperscaled Minifig.
'84s gives you the whole rooftop to fight on, with slowing puddles of Marshmallow Goo gradually building up around you as you blow parts off of him; 2016 cramps you in a tiny mosh pit of Ghosts, giving little room to avoid cheap damage.
'84s patterns are telegraphed well, giving you no excuses when you do get hit, and the way to progress the battle is crystal clear; '16s Battle provides little to no indication when your Proton Beam can actually do damage, and the attacks are mostly watered-down knockoffs of '84s Battle.
The Dialogue and Action in the two battles couldn't be any further apart from each other, thanks to the superior storytelling from the 1984 Movie. The 2016 Battle takes place in a swirling voidspace without any features, and your 'goal' is to knock the boss down long enough to grab a rope. To their credit (very little credit), they could have forced you to beat him on a Time Limit, but they didn't. That's the _only_ way they could've made the fight worse...
The 1984 Boss Fight gives you a majestic City Skyline as your backdrop, and a fantastic pre-fight Cutscene to build the tension for this final battle. The fight actually feels like you're a tiny human with a gun facing off against a Giant Monster, taking opportunities to blast off its arms by shooting explosive objects it tries to throw at you, before blasting it in the Face!
Defeating the Mini Stay-Pufts and jumping over shockwave tremors before launching the Ecto-1 into its face to finish it off, providing the city a lifetime supply of S'Mores. Is there any doubt why one Movies Final Boss succeeded

The game gives you indication on when you can deal damage. Whenever the health bar pops up at the bottom of the screen.

Agreed... it wasn't the fact that all of the characters that had originally been men amd got changed to being women was what caused the 2016 Ghostbusters to fail... rather, everything about it was poorly written and poorly handled, with the protagonists being sloppy with their ghost catching, and even more inexperienced than their masculine counterparts in the original movie...
My one problem with 1984 ghostbusters in lego dimensions is they had to alter the audio from the voices instead keeping the voices at the normal pitch used in the movies or the fact they had to get someone else to voice Louis aka Rick moranis
You can see how much effort was put into the first one with stay lift made of different pieces but Rowan is just a big mini figure

Lego dimensions was such a good game. The problem was that many sets to get new characters were very expensive (my only extra characters are: Eris (Lego chima), B. A. barrackus (the A. Team) and Marty Mc Fly (back to the future)).
I agree but I got more characters for the abilities I got Green Arrow, Gizmo, Stripe if you had playstation you could get Supergirl and you would get 4 characters and one vehicle for the starter pack

ronin turning into the giant form was the coolest part of 2016 going from 2D to 3D , along with the theme remix

Staypuft is a lot better and people love him more than the 2016 boss so they put more effort into him
Both levels were released in the same year, most likely they just didnt really care enough about the 2016 movie to put more effort into the boss fight

Lego dimensions, ghostbusters DLC packs original and new, games pretty good probably one of the best ones, only issue it's a Skylanders type, collect sets to play in game, good side collectors worthy considering alot of the sets involved didn't exist till the game eg doctor who, ghostbusters, back to the future, portal etc if you had them you were set, if you didn't good luck finding them

@@zakurowolfalphasilverwolf you can still find them on ebay. They still sell a whole bunch of this level packs, fun packs, team packs and story packs. I got almost all of them. So it's possible. Don't give up you can still get them. I got ghostbusters, ghostbusters 2016, doctor who, scooby doo, Batman, Wyldstyle, Gandalf, Marty Mcfly, portal 2, Ethan Hunt, Michael knight, Sonic the hedgehog, midway arcade, lego batman the movie, fantastic beast, Harry Potter, chima, adventure time, jurassic world, powerpuff girls, and I just bought the Simpsons and I already got ninjago. These are all the lego dimensions characters that you can buy on ebay. Anything is possible you just gotta grab them before someone else does.

They used the original audio from the film. Originally Ray said "It's the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man" with a mixture of terror and regret, knowing that his attempt to thwart Gozer by thinking of something harmless has failed.

Almost to a point where it’s unfair to compare other dystopias to it.

And all I can say is that You should not start with 1984.
Because if you start with Orwell you will just end up unconsciously comparing everyone else’s great work to 1984. And that’s just not fair at all.
