    • @josephastier7421
      @josephastier7421 3 년 전 +203

      @@litbmeinnick Yes, that is the 3.3 local magnitude earthquake caused by the explosion. The speed depends on several factors, but seismic shock travels many times faster than the atmospheric shock because the ground is much denser than air. The delay between the two can be used to roughly guess the distance to ground zero. The longer the delay, the greater the distance. The seismic shock is evident in many videos once you start looking for it. Sometimes it makes a slight sound.

    0:25 The force of the air was so great, notice how it created a low pressure zone in the immediate corridor and the panels just moved toward the diagonal pass of shock in the next room. If this happened inside a building, perhaps far away enough to not take serious destruction, imagine the nearby area...
    same negative pressure you see at 1:16 on the ground.

    • @mindsoulbody
      @mindsoulbody 3 년 전 +34

      @Libertate Veritas When an explosion happens of high magnitude (a high power, measured in TNT), it creates a very powerful shockwave. The shockwave is made of nothing but compressed air in this case. That travels very fast. When that shockwave pass by a zone, it leaves behind it very low pressure. So the place where the air is relatively still or slowly moving, the air pressure is high, and that high pressure air move towards the low pressure area. In this case, that air moves in with enough force to pull with it some of the pieces in that corridor.
      0:22 Shockwave passed by. The air also moved in inside the long walkway.
      0:23-0:24 in less than a second, the low pressure that is left behind the shockwave caused the air in the walkway to rush toward that area. Causing those panels to move with the air.
      This is the same thing that happens when a house is in fire and they tell to never open door or window suddenly as the pressure difference can cause air to rush in or rush out...causing more dmg and explosion.
      There are atomic bomb explosion video on the net. You can see how the model houses explode from shockwave, then the dust, air and debris just move back a bit...same principle.
      For more on this: read up on Bernoulli's principle on pressure.

      Hydrogen bombs are capable of wiping out large portions of entire countries. The Tsar Bomba (the most powerful bomb ever created) is capable of destroying all of Paris and several other cities surrounding it. However, the biggest problem with those weapons is the massive nuclear fallout. Any area destroyed by such a device becomes completely uninhabitable by humans for a very long time. Hence why they are completely useless in warfare and are never used. The whole point of most military conflicts isn't just mass destruction and genocide for the sake of it, it's for the expansion of land and the collection of resources and wealth. A bomb like Tsar Bomba makes that virtually impossible. That's why I don't worry about nukes, because they are completely worthless.

      The worst one ever made was Tsar Bomba in russia, it had a complete decimation zone of 32km instantly dead and then a further 100km zone for 3rd degree burns and a 500km zone for what you see in this video the shockwave destroying glass and such (which circled the Earth 3 times) and the mushroom cloud is tall enough to almost reach the edge of space. It is Hard to think how someone could ever picture using such a horror device, however they did a test which you can find videos of on KRplus and the scary part is the yield was like 50 megatons and it was supposed to be 100 megatons so double (I think because it weighed so much already, they settled with 50). Russia never mastered precision targeting so they thought they'd make something that didn't need to hit the target but still be effective, this was 50 years ago mind you and i'm sure now they are planning on getting rid of all nukes hopefully.
      Just imagine if today they really put their minds to it the kind of bomb they could make.
