When I exercise i have foamy urine. If i take a few days off it clears up. Tests at doctors office show no protein in my urine though. Am I good to go or should I still be concerned that something else might be going on with my kidneys? Thanks

@@karencski711 have you had an extensive workup by a truly good physician, one you've explained this to? There could be several reasons & most drs don't seem go know what all the tests are that should be done to make sure & check for. I highly recommend Osteopathic doctors, personally (look for the D.O. initials after their name).
I can think of many things that may be the cause, but w/o knowing your age/medical issues/lifestyle habits/etc., all *I* can think of is maybe the exercise itself: i.e., too much too soon, environment, oh & WHAT & HOW you exercise.
May be simply the wrong approach/type of exercise/doing too much/something not right for YOUR body/YOUR unique makeup..it actually could be psychological even (yes- SO possible)
I know I would investigate, bcuz you may have an underlying medical issue... or going about things incorrectly. Hope something I wrote helps; I'm willing to help figure it out, so feel free to ask πŸ’™

5 - 6 months ago, I started watching Dr Ekberg's videos. I was 104 kg. And I was eating all the unhealthy food he has been talking about. I started to eat healthy food, I have been doing fasting (I ate food between 1 pm to 8pm) and quit drinking alcohol for 3 months (now I drink once or twice a week and limit my self with 2 glasses of whisky or something similar) and this morning I was 89,7 kg (90 was may target). This is AMAZING! I ate great food, did a little exercise and now I feel 5 years younger then 5 months ago and look much more better. I live in the Netherlands, newer met the Dr and have no beneficial relationship with him. I advice you to watch all his videos to learn about human metabolism and also learn how you can eat high quality food and become very healthy without any medicine or supportive products.

This is true. I've been exercising 4 to 5 times a week for an hour for the last 12 years when I turned 50 because I started to notice weight gain. Didnt change my diet which wasn't horrible but included potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Every year gained approximately 3 lbs. Fast-forward to Jan 1st, 2024. I gained 30 lbs over 12 years. I was never overweight my entire life and very active generally but now 2 lbs above my healthy weight category. Exercise probably helped me not gain 60 lbs but it never helped me lose weight. Jan 1st started Keto, intermittent fasting, cut out alcohol, took ACV/lemon juice, a few extended fasts (72, 36, 48hr) and today I'm down 25 lbs wth 5 more to reach my 48 yr old weight goal. All body inflammation gone, mental clarity unbelievable and energy excess! I wouldnt have believed it was possible. Thanks Doc!!!

As a 57yo male, 3 months ago I took a long hard look at myself and started the exercise journey and then after discovering this channel, I have also adopted a low carb diet. Started by vigorous walking and now have lost 13kg (almost 30 pounds for our American friends). Now my cardio has improved so significantly - walking is no longer pushing my body so I have just started HIIT on the treadmill. Do I feel, better? Sure do, but that is still not to say sometimes it is hard to remain motivated, but I keep setting little goals and rewarding myself when I achieve them.

This is probably my favorite video you have ever made. Some really exciting ideas. I joined a gym and started working out with a personal trainer about 6 weeks ago, because I had no idea what I was doing and never deliberately exercised in any consistent way or with proper form. I am absolutely obsessed with it now. My body has changed a lot already and emotionally I feel better than I ever have before in my life. I had no idea what I was missing before, and I couldn’t afford to do this before but now I can so this has just been so amazing for me. My husband is also doing personal training. We love it. Very clichΓ© but definitely wish I had been doing this my whole life instead of only just now. But you live and you learn πŸ˜…

Your videos are so encouraging, in addition to being informative. It means a lot; you're a good teacher and I thank you. Since November, I've had some kind of nerve compression in my cervical spine, and it's been almost impossible to exercise. About 10 days ago, something went back into place (crunch!), and I've been back to my rowing machine again. My body was seizing up, and now it's opening up again, and hoping to be able to increase my intensity and stretches gradually. My DO retired during the pandemic .. and MDs are useless for the back in my experience. I really benefited from this video... wow! This explains SO much, especially about the neurological drugs they are now pushing for pain (no, I don't).

Then a few yrs ago I found your channel and your knowledge and advice on IF and ketogenic diet changed my life. I went about recommending your channel and your advice to everybody I met. But excercise was still not on my list of things, even when I stopped IF and keto. But with this video, it has triggered a desire to excercise in me like never before. Thank you once again Dr Ekberg. I am 61 years old and I've been doing everything in the book for the last 4 years: Keto, OMAD, HIIT 4x a week, Cold showers, supplements, good sleep, ACV, np stress, and so on. I still try hard to lose the last 20 pounds and see no progress (except being very fit). I've been working out since my teen years except between 51 to 56 years old when I gained 40 pounds. I also do 36-48-72 hours fasting here and there but, nope.... It's discouraging. P.S. I was at the Barcelona Olympics too, you were competing against my teammate Mike Smith ;-) Thanks for your wonderful channel, keep shining!

Dr. Ekberg. Thank you. Very useful information for anyone who wants to preserve and protect and develop their brain and body. You are literally dying if you just sit all day. If you have legs, use them, walk, that's what they were meant for. With 2 stents in my heart I walk at least an hour every day, often more. If I am sick and can't walk I feel awful after a few days. Cherish your body and use it or lose it!

Excellent presentation Dr sten. Your discussion of the synapses and neurons also brings to mind how destructive ssris, psychotropic drugs and benzos are to the communications between our physical being and our minds. As I understand it these drugs essentially act by destroying the communications between our body and our mind in order to numb feelings. Is it surprising that most of the damage caused by those drugs is manifested in the body? Our mental and our physical health are very tightly interdependent. It is critical to keep our physical health and to keep away from anything that interrupts the communications between our neurological functions in the body and our brains.

There will always be poisonous creatures who mistakenly were given a mouth. Fortunately, we do not have to listen to them. Thank you, Dr. Ekberg, for all of the good information you have provided. I am particularly thankful for information about how the body works, the pathophysiology and chemistry involved. Although I studied anatomy as an artist, and minimal physiology as a nurse, I know nothing about the chemical pathways. I don't know the relationship between what we eat and the consequences of moving around or just sitting all day (other than swollen legs from sitting!). Your information and the way you explain everything makes understanding them easy. Please continue! You give people hope they can improve their lives themselves!

I started exercising regularly 2 years ago after I turned 40. After seeing the changes to my body, I’m hooked and now I look forward to my workouts everyday. People have to remember that changing your body takes time. Don’t go in expecting instant gratification because that’ll just discourage you. Also, exercise without a proper diet won’t get you the results you’re looking for.
