I’m pretty sure Korea had no idea how much they needed Jessi being Jessi, I’m so glad she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves. Also, this interview was the cutest, TXT’s personalities really shined.
@Jen Joon I’m Korean and while she may be considered “rude” by some, the general entertainment industry is eating her up. If you see the guests that have been on her show, some of them are very high profile and their agents would have never let them go on her show if there would be backlash from fans. Also, she has the nation’s MC, Yu Jae Suk’s approval. Things change and people roll with the times, I’m just happy there are people who are more open nowadays.
I like him so much! He grabbed my attention right away when I watched their performances. I heard a lot of younger idols look up to him. It really helps that he's a funny and nice guy too and sometimes a dork. "Cool" guys usually do a lot and end up sort of like tryhards. He doesn't come off that way to me.

@@j0sh_u_a892 "Culture shock" in this case is when the two parties are really different, and they get surprised what the other people do. In this case, TXT have culture shock with Jessi because she cussed and the way she described the watermelon (low-key making boob jokes). She's just generally very outspoken and blunt and crass (in a good way tho), which isn't common among MC's and idols, especially not female ones. Jessi had culture shock with TXT because they kept teasing her in return to her teasing them - not a lot of groups as young as TXT do that to her.

In America, some people use "melons" as slang for "breasts." So Jessi was indicating to her chest to try to get them to guess watermelon. That's why Yeonjun was so embarrassed when he said he felt he "shouldn't know" what it meant.

I love how HYBE protect every groups. They brought Jessi to HYBE instead because of covid. I love how real Jessi is even though I don’t know much about her. It’s funny how she started dissing the security of HYBE. She’s so real and savvy and I love it.

@Jen Joon I’m Korean and while she may be considered “rude” by some, the general entertainment industry is eating her up. If you see the guests that have been on her show, some of them are very high profile and their agents would have never let them go on her show if there would be backlash from fans. Also, she has the nation’s MC, Yu Jae Suk’s approval. Things change and people roll with the times, I’m just happy there are people who are more open nowadays.

I like him so much! He grabbed my attention right away when I watched their performances. I heard a lot of younger idols look up to him. It really helps that he's a funny and nice guy too and sometimes a dork. "Cool" guys usually do a lot and end up sort of like tryhards. He doesn't come off that way to me.
