We don't know about the arrangement made between the girls, their family and Shane. It was a bit rude for her sister to speak over the top of her, but the younger sister is a minor. Maybe there were certain things she was not allowed to say. I know a lot of people believe minors should be able to have the same privileges as adults, but the rules are in place for a reason.

I don't plan events, but I've been to enough conventions to know that free tickets and one month of planning are NOT going to work.
I’m in a model-Government club and they started an overhaul of our fall convention two years ago. It was fairly short, students only had to stay overnight once and the whole thing lasted a day and a half. We were also only dealing with about 600-800 people, but this thing took 5 years to plan. I don’t know how long this took, and I bet the planning of Vidcon by Hank and John took much longer.

A part of me wants to believe that Tana truly wanted to make a convention where everyone could be included regardless of financial situation, but with her openness of being against VidCon and having the convention the same day seems like she did the whole thing to spite them and have shady intentions.

I agree completely. But I also believe Michael should be taking most of the blame. He was the one who deceived Tana, hurt so many children, and caused so much chaos. Tana had her heart and mind in the right place, but we all knew it was an act of revenge to Vidcon in the end. But, Michael did lie to Tana, giving her false information about the venue, telling her that the convention would be free. However, it's obvious conventions cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to host. Knowing this, did anyone really get free tickets? Was it all a gimmick for people to go to the website and see the "Free Tickets SOLD OUT" and then be forced to buy a "Feature Creator" ticket? I believe Michael heard Tana's idea, and thought he could make money off of Tana. Because at the end of the day, the most of the money goes to GOOD TIMES, NOT Tana.

In the UK, we had something called the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989. The police failed to control the crowds at a football stadium and let too many people into the fenced-in viewing pens. 96 people were crushed to death and 766 were injured due to overcrowding. Tana should count herself EXTREMELY lucky that the worst thing that happened was bad sunburn. The total failure in crowd control at Tanacon could have been a disaster.
