These are fun to watch and all, but nothing beats seeing somewhere you've been/live on these.

So many of these are so avoidable, in many cases even those that are not at fault can see the danger ahead and not take action to avoid collision

@2:56 #7 the mini had no reason to stop where it did. The red light was a repeater for the lights before the yellow box. With no light king to stop at. Bad driving by both. The cam car wasn’t expecting the mini to stop in the middle of the road for no reason

#7 looks like they've mistaken the repeater light. The clip starts part way through the junction so it's difficult to tell it's the repeater light but I can't see a solid white stop line in front of it which means that light doesn't apply to those vehicle now and they should've continued through. This is why the cammer wouldn't have easily anticipated the mini stopping because it wasn't supposed to.

Re Tuffnels green lorry, wheels locked up before the brake lights came on so maybe a mechanical fault?

In clip #7, I think the mini stopped suddenly as they were concerned the pedestrian on the left was going to step out.

119 had a clear view of the traffic coming up the ramp and had all the room in the world to move over a lane to allow easy merging.

#7, that red light doesn't pertain to that pelican crossing, there is no solid line there to stop at. The stopping point is before the yellow box junction, it's a big open controlled T junction. Mini shouldn't have stopped, cam car shouldn't have rear ended. I've had exactly that situation at exactly that light.

Your written explanation for the rear shunt on the mini is completely WRONG. The mini had no reason to stop as he did, the red light is for the junction he has already passed thro. Where he stopped there is no stop line, he was not required to stop. However the car rear ending him is at fault as far as Highway code and insurance decisions.

No. 7 entirely at fault. There were three clear issues: 1. driving too close to the Mini, 2. not approaching traffic lights in anticipation of having to stop and 3. completely ignoring the yellow box in case the lights went to amber (at which point one is supposed to stop providing it is safe to do so).
No.8, Stobart was entering and the other truck was already in the roundabout, only one at fault there and that’s the vehicle joining the roundabout.

Once used the truck I was driving to block this flyover as my forward observation showed that Fire Brigade needed both ways closed to deal with an accident and could be easily bypassed by the roundabout below.

#9, I'm used to seeing drivers who have absolutely no idea how wide their cars are, but having one who does not know how long it is, is a little rarer. Most people who have little cars have them for a reason, other than economy, I live by that and I give them a wide berth and pass when whenever possible.

Incidents like #86 where the car pulls out in the cammer, shows that steering around someone is usually a lot safer than slamming on the brakes. Too many drivers simply slam on the brakes when a problem is unfolding often causing more collisions behind them.

The driver enters the junction on a changing light at amber, then on the other side of the junction stops when the light goes to red: IT'S STILL THE SAME SET OF LIGHTS!! The Mini should not have stopped: they've crossed the stop line so they need to complete their transition through the junction. It's not even as if it was a big junction

#13 is just based, he stops people from passing then rejoining 5 cars later. Just stay in line and wait, you have to rejoin with traffic anyways. It keeps the left lane free for emergency vehicles and buses. He literally just stops entitled drivers from skipping ahead.

45:53 Silver Range Rover might be doing a second lap of roundabout. It seems there is a road closure and lots of yellow signs. Cammer does not factor in the possibility that Range Rover might not exit but continue round. Vehicles travelling this slow circulating roundabouts need special caution from other drivers even where no temporary signs are shown. Cammer works herself up unnecessarily over this.

1.38 you are now allowed to serve inbetween crossings and speed in 30mph built up areas now because it's the car that's pulling outs fault.

The Golf is top driver. I remember someone pulled out on my brother the same way, he just wing it to the right and lift clutch.
Mini was in the right. The light was red when the mini stopped. The amber is a signal to slow down, not for you to speed up. Plus you can never be right rear-ending any vehicle.
Conclusion, people with dashcam drive more careful because they know the evidence will be right there. Maybe cameras should be mandatory until self driving cars are ready.

I'm amazed at the amount of people who pull over after being hit. What you want to do is stay exactly where you are and take photos of how and where the impact happened in relation to the road. The amount of people who can lose because the third party offers an alternative truth and without concrede photographs, easily get away with it.

The mini stopped late but fairly, as the light was on red before it got to the junction. It could equally have braked for someone stumbling into the road or a child chasing a lost ball. The driver behind was 100% not in adequate control of their vehicle.

ALL drivers in the UK need to learn about Destination Zero - that's 0 accidents being the aim for 2041 on London's Roads! this means Safer Streets, Safer Speeds, Safer Vehicles and Safer Behaviours on the roads. This means that the driving standards to pass a test from NOW on will be much harder! People will soon no longer be able to move to the UK from other countries and just 'exchange their licence' for a British Licence (they will have to pass a driving test first). We have become sloppy in our self discipline in the UK with regard to driving... and it's time to change that! In every situation the human element can fail - the Road system should not!

How was it the minis fault? Breaks were applied after the light went read and the car behind followed them into a clear box when the lights were amber.

The clip at 2:45 - Mini stopped for no reason, probably confused that the lights went red, and was wrong to do so, however the cammer had plenty of time to react.

You rear end somebody....your to blame. If they stop for no reason its irrelevant, you should leave enough space to able to stop.
