I never even thought about this happening. It breaks my heart 😢. Anyone that hurts/kills an innocent animal is not a human. Animals are so trusting and vulnerable. I’m not sure if I can even finish watching this video because I’m getting angrier and angrier as I watch. Thank you for bringing this to light. People need to know.

    ⚠️For those who don't know:
    - *The snakes shown in this video are NOT endangered;* they are ball pythons which are bred in great numbers worldwide because they are ridiculously docile, completely harmless to humans (small children can safely handke then,) they will 100% chill with you while you watch movies, they come in a rainbow of beautiful colour morphs and therefore yes, they do make awesome pets! *It would have been deeply appreciated had the producers of this episode actually found legit endangered reptiles to film instead of negatively smearing the reptile hobby* and had the host done her research - then she would not have overreacted so massively on camera because she would have known that the ball python she was handling was 100% harmless to her! Even completely wild ball pythons are ridiculously docile, harmless little animals. Ball pythons have been bred in captivity for many, many generations and there is an argument for them being considered domesticated.
    - The rest of the reptiles shown (except for the ploughshares tortoise from Madagascar): all actively captive bred in great numbers and *not endangered!*
    - *Boa constrictors DO NOT EAT PEOPLE.* You can confidently handle one safely without having another person present.
    - There is only *one* species of snake *on the entire planet* that has actually been verified to eat humans - the reticulated python, from Malaysia. Humans are simply not the right shape to make good prey for giant snakes and giant snake species themselves are extremely rare.
    - Almost nobody keeps 'hot' venomous snakes as pets. 'Hot' meaning that the venom is medically significant. The people who DO keep hot snakes have to go through a lot of training - I think if I remember right it's something like 2,000 hours - and certification in most places before they can own one. Most of the people who do handle hot snakes work in venom labs where the venom is extracted in order to make antivenom *which saves lives.*
⚠️*PLEASE stop negatively portraying snakes, wild or not as it does extreme harm to those still in the wild because it justifies people being cruel to them for no reason other than they think snakes are 'icky' or 'scary.*' In fact, some indigenous people in South America prior to colonization kept pet snakes in their huts as friendly pest control!❤

For Jason’s case, what I am guessing is the cat might be taken away and resell it to someone with the original chip removed and a new chip could be implanted. As a snowy white cat like this, people are willing to offer a good price or even sell it to the breeder

Compare to USA, rarer cats can be an easy $5k, over $10k for something like a Tibetan mastiff......
So... back to China market... purebred animal still seems inexpensive. In compqrison though, seems like smuggled animals are super inexpensive

I'm shocked that it's even legal to breed and sell reptiles in Hong Kong. How does the Hong Kong gov't even allow the breeding of BOA? This is so disturbing. One day an unlucky kid or old lady is just going to be swallowed by an escaping boa or alligator in the park. There are incidents in the USA where alligators just jumped out of the bush to swallow old ladies and kids. Alligators are very fast.

Those snakes shown in the video never grow to 'man eating size', most species are actually quite docile. You're far more likely to get hurt by a stray dog or an angry rat lol. I'd recommend watching a channel called "Snake Discovery" to learn more about reptiles so they're not as scary. They actually have a pet rescue alligator too so they can tell you about their behaviour. :)

People collect and keep Leopard Geckos because they believe they are beautiful. Same thing goes for most snakes. The skin patterns are believed to be beautiful. It's not just envy. Just like Japanese love to collect beautiful Koi Fish because of their patterns. And Bettas (Thai Fighting fish) because they are ornamental/beautiful in some peoples eyes. It cost way too much to keep and feed these animals to justify doing it just for envy and to show off on instagram. These people want to share their hobby/interest with other like minded individuals and many of them have the proper permits and obey the laws concerning how the animals should be kept. Even going beyond what is needed because of their love for their pets. Some people spend over $600 for surgery for their Hamster that only cost $10. You never hear about them. You are only seeing the negative side in programs like this. Most people are willing to take proper care for their animals and give them a quality of life that can often be better, or safer than is possible in the wild today due to a loss of habitat caused by big business operations. Correct that and work on preserving their natural habitats before judging people that really do love the animals they keep. Rain Forest destruction, Palm oil plantations, etc.. are more harmful to the wildlife than the illegal pet trade. If someone is willing and able to do it correctly/legally there is no reason to make it impossible for them to keep certain "legal" exotic pets. Use your energy going after the criminals that are not following the rules.

    WHO PRO DEMOCRATS?
Me from Malaysia and Democrat mean majority voters decide HongKong future since it was held during riots..
Riots indeed wrong since its causing disruption to normal lifestyle yet 90% of HK people choose changes even their normal life disrupted.
Why Hongkong people don't support Pro china during election even everywhere were chaos?
Your perception about riots mean what did by the govt cannot be wrong, were not the right conclusion.
    MEANING OF DEMOCRACY
HK election have two stages and 1st round won by Pro democrat by 90% margin, yet before the final election were held for choosing leader, the lady implemented new law, which either jail or disqualified almost all her opponents that won the landslide election.
12 manged to escape but their boat caught by China marine before could reach Taiwan and jailed in China for their involvement in causing riots.
But what if you were one of them?
You jailed for causing riots but 90% of the people want you to challenge the lady that only gain 10% votes count or be their new leader.
The final round for choosing leader cannot see a new face representing Hongkong?
Pro China also presumed, how many seat they expected from 1st round election but somehow won by Pro democrat.
    Causing riots mean wrongdoing?
You still unaware what it mean by riots, if 90% of HK people choose you.
The lady knew, she will lose the final election or why she created new law to stop her downfall cos the people want changes since riots causes by Pro Democrats would stop, if they in power.
You should not presume HK people were that dumb, till ignore the meaning of prosperity or support riots, so they not needed to work. Only China people can see that as reason, which senseless till unbelievable.
Just say HK people want more from the new elected leader, for those living in cages.
Pro china rules Hongkong from 1997. They won mean life goes on but upon losing, they created new law to catch all their opponent, mean what?
That is not the meaning of socialist, democracy nor communist but DICTATORSHIP..
(Google "Danny Woo Vk" in Bing for book of life and cure for COVID-19 without hospitalization)
    XINJIANG?
That province can see army patrolling everywhere and even tourists fear of venturing in Xinjiang since one can dissappeared without a trace yet the worst part, police can say they don't care.
My advice? Put a X in your map, so you remember why, you shouldn't be there..
