The upcoming celebration is the Platinum Jubilee, Her Majesty's 70th year as the monarch of the United Kingdom.
Great story, to hear that the Queen and First Lady were talking about YOU!!! Something to treasure! First Lady Laura Bush will always be one of my favorites.
That was very thoughtful of Mrs Bush to tell the story, to the queen, about Robins grandmother.

2 pedantic curiosities here:
1) UK is not actually the US's oldest ally. That honour goes to France as allies of the Continentals in the American Revolution against the Crown (George III).
2) Shocked to hear the Queen say: "...thank you for inviting Prince Philip and me.."! It was hammered into me at school that it should always be "...[x person] and I"! Well now I can go back to "...xxx and me"!

GMA yall facts is wrong. France is America's oldest ally.
This is actually true except for that pesky Louisiana thing.. and earlier that bit of bother 1775 when the American continental army invaded Canada which was predominantly French.
Except that De Gaulle period, when he didn't cooperate with us on anything after WWII.
@@CaliKiwi- To be accurate it was not Canada then and it was Quebec that the British rebels in the south invaded (which was then rebuffed).
