Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith took home the Offensive MVP after finishing with 12 catches for 215 yards and 3 TDs in the first half. Najee Harris finished with 3 total touchdowns himself, and Tide quarterback Mac Jones, who threw 5 touchdowns on the night, put it bluntly after the game, saying 'I think we’re the best team to ever play.' The play that stands out to me is when the Ohio State defender hit Najee Harris full speed with a shoulder tackle and Harris doesn’t even take a step backwards he standing straight up when he gets hit and he just barely leans back and the defender bounces off of him like he’s bouncing off a brick wall and after that Harris falls forward another four or 5 yards

he'll probably go in the first round of the draft, which is a huge achievement for a running back, so I'd say he's very highly rated by the people that matter. Fun fact: Derrick Henry was drafted in the second round.

@@troyarrington5492 thing is Alabama is usually top in recruiting but there are teams with the same 5 star number of recruiting its not like coach Cal witch I live in KY where we get more recruiting then anyone usually. They just have a good program and invest in the right things and the right kind of people want to go there. But in college there are only sec teams that control the major recruiting hub not just alabama.

Before the game
I had the feeling that they couldn’t beat us in a shoot out.
If this turned into ole miss or Florida, we could win.
I was concerned about the potential for clock management super bowl 25 type play. I’m from western New York, that game is etched in my mind.
I looked up the heights and weights of both teams linemen on both sides of the ball. And when I did that, I had the thought that Ohio state couldn’t run it out.
Then the first play happened.
I got a ton of confidence through that.
Other than the fumble and tying it up 14-14
It was Alabama’s game all the way past that.
Jaylen Waddle was cleared to play by one of the best college football medical staffs in the country. If there was a risk of him doing more damage to himself, you wouldn't have played. Who could blame him for wanting to be involved. I was in tears when Landon Dickerson played the last two snaps and carried Nick Saban on the field. He reminds me of Frank Ragnow.

You knew Ohio State coaches had given up on the game with the play calling towards the end of the 2nd half with like 5 mins and change remaining as it was all like running plays. They just wanted to get off the field. 2nd half felt like that players came out for pride as they didn’t want to get blown out that bad.

@Jermaine Jackson Honestly I think people just like recency bias. 'Bama has been dominating CFB for ages, and typically LSU doesn't ever produce great QBs. So for a QB to bust in and drop 60 passing TDs and beat Bama made people think they were the greatest team of all time. Happens to every superstar team/player that emerges.
If both teams healthy the game would’ve been closer, however Alabama is just the best coached school and it’s not close. -OSU fan here
