Nah you definitely have to be able to shoot. You don’t have to shoot all the time but when your time comes you have to be able to shoot and that was his problem. Couldn’t knock down free throws when they counted and that messed him up mentally. Got to have a jumper if you play in the nba and if you don’t at least work on it during l the offseason. He never did

He literally looks like Giannis when he’s healthy and not scared of the ball
After his spinal surgery he has not regained that burst. Also, he is not 100% confident going to the rack as back issues just don’t go away. The surgery only relieved his nerve pain down the legs. It is almost impossible to fix a protruding disc. He has to live with it.
Yeah he’s definitely lost a step. Imo it’s more noticeable on D than offence and probably accounts for a lot of his extra fouls (+ obviously the season out of the game)
It’s unfortunate. Same thing happened with Dwight Howard. He was never the same.

Still to this day I’m shocked with the how Simmons managed to blow his career when he was such a great player & still is. Just doesn’t have the mental mindset to be a professional in my eyes and develop an outside shot smh 🤦♂️
