We have some relievers coming back to help add some depth but we need to spread the work load more or people get burnt out and this happens. GG to the A’s I definitely see them making the playoffs.

I"ve had the Athletics to go to the World Series since the beginning of the season. So to see them play so well is not at all surprising. Snell has been hit and miss but mostly miss.
And I'm missing Mercano as a prospect.
Superb outing by Manaea today against a tough line-up; too bad the bullpen couldn't maintain a shutout. Hopefully Andrew Chafin (recently acquired from the Cubs) isn't as much of a gas can as he appeared to be after Guerra. Nice to finally see Chapman come around and get some hits. Let's go, Oakland!

Chafin is a an absolute stud , he will settle in and kill it. 24.1 scoreless innings streak # 1 in MLB, 17 holds 3rd most in MLB, part of a combined no hitter against the Dodgers.
Hope the news of Marte sparked the offense and it keeps going and today wasn’t a fluke
Blake Smells was the reason for the bad start with giving the a's a comfortable lead.
Sean Manaea was also a reason considering he completely shut them down, and if they weren’t leading by so much he would have stayed in and shut them down some more

The Padres defense was pretty sloppy today. Also that strike 3 call on Trent Grisham in the 7th inning was a questionable one. But if the A's can keep up this offensive tear, just imagine what Starling Marte is gonna add to their lineup. Excited to see him in the gold and green!
