Gary was just lucky he ran into an idiot like Skip instead of someone who knows enough to counter that whatever help Jordan had was based on the fact that Jordan himself helped develop players around him instead of running for the hills. Jordan didn't join stars. They came as average players that he helped develop. Even Pippen averaged only 7 points in his first year. Second, as far a Jackson, people are not stupid enough to believe that the success of the Bulls was more the result of Jackson's smarts than Jordan's will to win. Gary and plenty other stars from the 90s looking to undermine Jordan's greatness are just hating on someone who presented a barrier in their own quest to become great.

I also don't get people's logic about Kevin Durant being best player in the world -- how can he be the best player in the world after joining arguably the greatest regular season team in NBA history, and they beat him in the conference finals when the OKC had a 3-1 lead. It was always something about Jordan as a person I could never get on board with. Just like Kobe, I’ve always respected his game but I didn’t appreciate him until he retired. Up until then...they were just in the way.
