Skylar, I am a 68 year old grandmother. I have been following you and Jamie since the quints were babies. I respect you and Jamie so much for the respect you show each other since you separated and divorced. I watch her on KRplus and I’ve been watching you also. I have gone through 2 major faith journey shake ups or transitions in my life. I’ve done my share of searching. I have mostly enjoyed watching the Soul Surrender show. I do miss seeing you interact with the children but also have enjoyed you sharing your faith journey on this podcast. I don’t agree with or relate to everything you’ve explored, but I don’t have to. It’s your journey. I continue to follow you. I truly care about you.

Skyler, it seems like an entire world of learning and experiences has opened up to you in the last year. You are a shining example of open mindedness, kindness, and what being a decent human is all about!
I have gone through a major life change due to the sudden death of my husband in October. I’ve found myself questioning so much of, well, everything. The only thing I haven’t questioned is that God has been here holding me up when I can’t stand up anymore. I’ve watched your channel since the babies were born. You’ve gone through some major changes that I know you never excepted to have gone through, just as I have. I have no idea when the future holds for me, but I do know God will see me through and will guide me. Whether you vlog or podcast, I’ll always be a fan.

When life presents us with crushing realities, it gives us the opportunity to bring our inner spirituality to life and find its essence. You are so on your way. Skylar, very interesting pod cast. Please be careful in what you are trying to find satisfaction in. I know rejection can cause us to search for things to fulfill the emptiness inside. You’re an intelligent man, but deception has a sneaky way of crawling in to make us be interested in something, or possibly deceived. People can say things that are just parallel enough, but with a little twist to make it feel right. Always remember that satan is a liar, and deceiver. God bless you, Skyler. Hello! I continue to enjoy your soul surrender vlog. As I wrote before, I was brought up Catholic, and attended Catholic school through high school. The grade school was overly strict and controlling, as was the church as a whole. I fell away from the church some years ago, but now I find that I am missing the spiritual side of my life. Everything that you say makes so much sense to me. The references to Buddhism are so real and meaningful without being paternalistic or dictatorial.
I miss going to Mass, but because of the scandals and the cover ups, I cannot morally accept what the church has done. The Catholic Church tells us that if we do not go to church and participate in the sacraments, that we have sinned, speaking of sin. My father was actually excommunicated because he married a non catholic who had also been divorced. This, to me, was the ultimate betrayal for him.
My British grandmother, who was an exceptional person in many ways, asked me when I was about 10 years old, and in Catholic school, “Since I don’t go to church, do you think I will go to heaven?” I will never forget this question.
I don’t know what I will do to improve the spiritual side of my life, but as I am about to turn 71, I think about my mortality more now than I ever have. I ask myself if falling away from the church is going to keep me out of heaven, if there is such a place.
I am looking forward to more of your thoughtful vlogs; you’re an inspiration.

Wow, I have to admit that after your first podcast, I am subscribed. But I too, have been on a faith journey over the past year. I was raised Catholic and followed the church for like 55 years. There’s just been too many things lately that have made me question. What you said today makes so much sense. Can’t wait to hear more.

I've been following you almost since the quints were born and at first I didn't even know you were Mormons, I just liked looking at your family vlogs because I had a baby myself. I've been awake for many years now, but I'm still kind of clueless about everything. At one time I was confused about the many religions in the world and then I just decided that I believe in light and I believe in love and I trust in a higher power despite the fact that there is so much evil in our world that makes it hard for many to have faith. I have made my journey of discovery by holding on to the cornerstones of my own faith and even though I am going through a difficult time in my life right now, there is still happiness and peace in my soul. I am so happy that you are also on this journey with me, even though we don't know each other. I don't really like watching videos like this or following other people when it's related to religion, because I'm afraid it would lead me down the wrong path. But this resonates so strongly! Thank you! Love is the answer.

I highly recommend “The Course in Miracles Experment” by Pam Grout and also Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsh. They’ve helped me see God and Jesus not as judgemental, punishing and jealous as religion portrays but pure unconditional love. If you haven’t watched Next Level Soul I really recommend his podcast as he interviews fascinating guests as well as Suzanne Giesemann whose books and channel are so inspiring and eye opening 😊

So interesting that the only thing I didn't like about your blog five2love was your 'extreme' faith! And now you are a humanist like me! How things change. I had recommended your blog to so many friends but with a warning that you were Mormons, lol. You're lovely parents and that's all that mattered.
I can attest to the attachment theory as a thing , when we had our farm and home of 34 years compulsorily acquired for a freeway drainage pit. It was where we raised four kids, 2 born there, beloved pets buried there, we built our home ourselves . Letting go of the past attachment and embracing the now, was the key. Moving forward was good for us.
I always have felt God is us, in us, of us.

I am so very proud of you. After being a bit disappointed with the podcast of sharing the new things you were trying that is totally ok but with the world as it is and our children being pulled in so many directions I couldn’t understand why you would throw that out into the universe knowing your littles have so far to go before they are mature enough to understand or have not heard it from you personally but in a podcast/vlog. Having lost a young adult child to suicide. Then 5 years later almost lose my husband due to the 5 yr event that happens with tragic loss of a child. I remember my heart breaking just as badly. Because we really loved each other. And I just didn’t understand. As far as we knew had a wonderful family with of course the normal, typical problems. We just didn’t announce them. Then the world broke. Being raised Catholic. Husband Baptist. I didn’t and he didn’t ever believe that the religion was correct but the church as Jesus says. Where 2 people are, speaking my name. I am. So I allowed my kids to explore and go and choose knowing what you learn in a church are the morals and values that we cannot instill unless you read enough and talk about enough and understand the different religions and learn that everything comes from one. You both are doing amazing. I am proud of your whole family. I am proud of you.

I miss the children. I do not watch jamie, I never really enjoyed her vlogs as they were more about her than the children. What you seem to be going through right now is actually finding what makes you happy. I think each one of us go through this at some point in time. For some they go find their self at 40 and others it is 50, or 60 and this is ok. Praying that you are doing well and we care about those sweet children.

The Holy Spirit is really talking to your heart...To tell a child they are not worthy, personally, you can destroy their confidence and make a fight that is wrong for growth and love. When you say you will not allow a Bishop to decide this for you, you are truly parenting your own child with protection and wisdom...Just my opinion...

Whoa….we are all gods!?? That is not scriptural at all. Jesus never once said you are all gods. He was not killed because he said we are all gods. He was crucified because he was a threat to the Saduccees and the Pharisees; their way of life, and their ruling power. No where in the Bible does Jesus say we are all gods. You, of course, have the right to search for your “meaning” in any place you desire. However, don’t just let someone cherry pick Bible verses for you. Do an in-depth study of the New Testament for yourself, before you make such statements.

Marriage is staying close to Christ and what he wants not what one person wants for themselves. Get the right Bible and study the Bible together. A marriage should be for a marriage a oneness in Christ. Allow Jesus to be the Leader of a family not what I want. Let Jesus lead your life not a fortune teller. Jesus never changes and his word never changes.

It was like all the things we searched in college or early years. Need to grow up time. Hope the best for you in your search. Searching for a partner through astrology is a riot. Heaven is a real place, and so is Hell. The Bible says so. If THIS life is all there is, there is no equity or justice in THIS world. Mormon "heaven" (the 3 kingdoms and planet Kolob) are NOT Biblical. You don't have to belong to a church or denomination to worship God. You can have FAITH and know God and Jesus Christ WITHOUT a temple. The Bible says that "God does not dwell in TEMPLES made by men's hands." I'm glad you left Mormonism, but don't leave God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit behind.

So glad you're questioning and exploring all faiths. Congratulations, maybe you haven't realized it yet, but you've become a Unitarian Universalist! (You can be a Buddhist and a UU at the same time.) Please take your kids to a UU church so they will learn to be open-minded faith explorers like you!

Look into Christianity. The only way to salvation and heaven is through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You wont find salvation in all the other gods.

I have recently unsubscribed from Jamie’s vlog due to her not protecting the children’s privacy. I have been doing a deep drive into child exploitation on social media and it truly makes me sick. There are so many truly disturbed people consuming videos of children. Please protect your children. Vlogging is fine, but don’t make the vlog all about the kids and don’t show their faces or personal things like doctor’s appointments or tell personal information. I have to admit I have been a subscriber since the beginning but all the new terrors I have learned recently have made me realize I can’t support family vlogging channels. Please, please protect your children!

Listening to your comments it is evident to me that you are hopelessly lost and searching in all the wrong places for answers. There are many religions and none of them will give you the answers you seem to be seeking. I don't think you can keep a foot in religions and Christianity; read the book of John in particular John 14:6. Prayers for you as you seek to find the way to truth. Unfortunately, most want the "easy" path.
