The problem I have with Bayless' take on Ben Simmons, here, is pretty much the problem I have with all his takes...when it's an athlete he personally likes, he deflects a conflates the narrative (example: The hit on Simmons is that he becomes unplayable in late quarters because of his unwillingness to shoot - something point guards must be able to do, if only to keep defenses honest. Bayless' retort? That Simmons has been a top defensive player. Bayless, in this segment, took more of a shot at LeBron for not being a top tier free throw shooter than he did at Simmons for REFUSING to expose himself to having to face shooting late free throws. I try to listen to Bayless, because for the most part I enjoy sports talk. But there are simply far too many instances I cannot stomach his blatant favortism...particularly given, rumor has it, his role is to serve as objective analyst - which, objective, he is NOT...and that is an understatement. CANNOT STAND LISTENING TO THIS CREEP.
