Maddie's right, TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) is absolutely No joke...I have a friend who almost died due to it. She was in the CCU (critical care unit) for weeks and ended up losing a leg. She is now a huge advocate for tampon care and free or more affordable feminine hygiene products for women. She was living on the streets most of the time to an abusive family and she didn't have the money and/or access to products so she was not taking such good care of her hygiene due to the fact of not having the money. In fact she was caught stealing them one time and luckily the store didn't press charges and gave her some free ones once they found out what was going on. However, she is doing great and is definitely changed her life around and is out there helping others. She even frequence the streets and homeless communities and with donations from people and businesses she will go around and hand out free hygiene products to the women... So, maddy's right.... As comical as the tik tok video is... It's definitely not something to mess around with. Sorry for the rant but I just know that My friend would be very disappointed if I didn't use this video as a Chance to influence people and tell her story. It's sad also that women aren't as educated about feminine hygiene care as they should be.. I know lots of girls who have never even heard of TSS and its danger.
