More complicated than just that. After all the “legal” reasons needed for the warrant some goofball could’ve made a mistake like 123 sesame st but it was really 124 sesame st on the paperwork. All in all situation is jacked up she needs some cash at the very least.

The warrent wasnt even approved at the time of the encounter. Thats the main part of the case they went off of an informant..

Facts! How difficult is it to give an apology? I could understand if she had made a very long, sincere apology letter that was in-depth, and very profound... But it was very short, and simple. Only someone detached from reality needs to write down what she said. Furthermore when the mayor said "that is just not...right" as opposed to "acceptable" or "that is just unacceptable", and the fact that she wrote it down shows that she is not very bright. She's more than likely someone who's been chosen by the higher ups because she's black, and a woman to promote diversity, and give the appearance of change. I doubt she has any real power or authority.
The apology increased the municipality's exposure to litigation, and was probably carefully written to minimize the increased risk.
not everyone is good at speaking in general. having prepared notes isnt an issue.
what is an issue is there seems to be a lack of notes and checking and double checking that the right location is being searched.
The fact that police so often try to restrict what is on their body camera, or just outright turn them off, tells the public how little integrity and honesty the police have. No honor among thieves indeed.

Yep.. did you know that for almost 30 years the Chicago pd had their own private warehouse they rented and took suspects there to beat confessions out of them. 30 years! How many innocent people probably signed a violently coerced statement and went to prison!?!? This might sound crazy.. But every person ever arrested by that squad needs to have their case reviewed and maybe even be released unless it can be proven they signed their confessions without duress. Rumor was that even some "suspects" died during interrogation and were tossed into the lake
@@mashucha yep.. And they can turn the audio off at will.. what's the point if they can turn it off. And the way most cameras are designed for them now.. They hit a button at the start of an encounter.. But it's actually a full minute and a half before the audio turns on. So you have the video but no sound for 90 seconds . That cop could be saying ANYTHING. They could be threatening the person's life or telling them to confess if they don't want to catch a nightstick to the dome
they shouldnt be able to be turned off there should be a sensor at the police station once they go past that sensor the body cams auto turn on and cops cant turn them off or are the body cams only to protect the cops?
They knew that they were wrong but instead of profusely apologizing, immediately exiting the property and offering to provide whatever assistance they could to help rectify their major mistake, they continue to unlawfully search the property and demean this poor woman.

They broke down her door in the middle of the night and they let that poor woman sit naked in handcuffs with no modesty blanket for 17 minutes as those thugs with guns walked through her house throwing her things around and not even giving her the decency of cover until 17 minutes later. Can you imagine this? She won $2.9 million dollars but she will be lucky if she gets half of that. The attorneys will get most of it. But, she will have to live with this trauma for the rest of her life. It breaks my heart.

From news reports, what is seen in the video is not the 1st time Chicago police have jeopardized innocent citizen lives, and they (LEO) will continue with impunity as long as the government allows.
Chicago can't afford to continue paying people for deliberate actions committed by under qualified city workers.

No. That makes perfect sense. If you're a criminal, and learn of a mistaken police raid, you can easily adapt to the situation. There is a very legitimate reason from making it public. It's a terrible thing that happened to this woman, but this was clearly an accident, and not an indicator of corruption.

This footage has been out for a while. The footage that shows her standing naked and terrified as police just ignore her and continue to terrorize her is the most vile thing I've ever seen. Imagine if it was your grandma who was treated that way. Your mother, or daughter. Those cops should be in jail for their actions that night. They should never be allowed to serve the public as police officers. They were heartless and cruel. When will we ever see accountability? What does accountability even look like?
