i was rewatching the offic for like the 10th time recently. noticed for the first time jim carrey is the guy they are talking about earlier who needed time off for the lakes. took me ten times of watching to figure it out lol

either way, i feel that is the best prank jim and pam have ever done because of the cruelty in the simplicity of it. all they needed was their reputation for dwight to go nuts about it even though they were telling the truth that time, it's so brutally hilarious i love it.

At my Arby's job we had a Dwight-type guy named Shawn--he knew everything about everything. He taught me the "correct" way to sweep (three tiles at a time), mop (in a figure eight with your hips doing most of the motion), and posture for shoveling snow (bend the knees, pivot from the hip, and keep those shoulders straight). According to him, he probably knew about 87% of how the world worked (and he could run it better). Found out later he was a cocaine addict and since Arby's, he's gone through at least one more job in the last six months. He was funny, though.
well at least he was right about the physical labor, you gotta make ergonomics a priority otherwise you'll send up with a bad back at 40.
As someone that's worked a lot of jobs with mopping, the figure 8 will give the best coverage and keeps it flowing, he wasn't wrong on that one

I just realized, Dwight doesn't know how syllables work!
My parents briefly considered putting me in a private school. I'm not sure if it was financially feasible, but then we sat on an English class at that school, and the lesson was on counting syllables in words. The teacher counted church as ch-ur-ch.
And that was when my parents decided that public school was juuuust fine.

In one of the places I worked at in the past, there was a Jim Halpert. He didn’t even watch the show but he was constantly pulling pranks on everyone. Once he stapled another guy’s credit cards together and put a smashed cookie in his wallet. He was 38 😂
