My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. as a german alot of the words are almost same and so its quite fun to learn also the "sch" is very easy to learn as a german

Fun fact:
In Spain we have an expression: To become Swedish.
for example if they ask you something about what you have information but you don't want to give it and you say "i don't know" and the other person knows that you are lying, they will tell you "don't play Swedish"
Know undestand why "Jag vet inte"
We use too when one person are or pretend be confused and the other one think that the other is lying: Don't be/play Swedish haha

In Bologna (Italy) we use the word "Prezis" (prinunciated just like Swedes do) in the same way when we speak our own dialect

Each time I went to Åland Island...I hired a Swedish Foreign Exchange student...twice a week for the whole year before I went. I used very basic phrases. Most everybody appreciated my effort. I provided lots of laughs to my cousins. Who the heck taught you Swedish???😅😄😆
