10 Secrets and Easter Eggs in the Indigo Disk - Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC

Fun fact about the title screen in case there are people who doesn't know. The scarlet or violet book was origially in the title screen with a poke ball on top of it the first time you play the game and stays there until you beat the main story. Once the main story is cleared the book and the poke ball is gone signifying the events that you have given the book to the AI professors before they gone off to their own adventure. The books come back to the title screen only after you have done the secret ending.

If you talk to Arven after getting the book from the professor he’ll notice and assume we checked out a copy from the library

Munch, I'm sorry but you made a mistake. During the item printer section, you said you unlock Pokeball creation at Master ball rank. You actually unlock it at ultraball rank. Double items is at Great ball rank. And at Masterball rank, you can print stellar shards

little bit related, I just realized that the Savannah terrarium takes direct inspiration from the gen 1 safari zone as it includes all the pokemon (chansey, execute, executor, scyther, tauros, rhyhorn, venonat, venomoth) with the exception of kangaskan from that gen.

Small detail you might miss, but after obtaining the Scarlet/Violet book from the professor, if you've completed Arven's side quests and go to his room and talk to him, he'll notice and question how you have the book, before assuming you borrowed a copy from the library.
And If you check the Scarlet/Violet book in the entrance, it's had new entries added and another entry is added to the papers found just outside the elevator underneath area zero where you find the desks.

I feel bad for Kieran, I liked him even though he was a little bit too set on beating the main character. I still think the item cave should have had like a Master ball 😆.

The Be Still My Left Hand is more of a reference to Chuunibyou (loosely translated to delusions of grandeur, that many young teens experience growing up.) which is a very ingrained thing in Japanese culture. The pose that Gladion makes is similar, but not exactly the same.

I have a hard time believing 'We' killed Arven's parents cause they never mentioned us before the DLC was released. The professors choose to stay rather than not thinking for one second to check on their son.
And you forgot to mention the two legendary Pokemon's true names. Winged King and Iron Serpent. Those names caught me surprise that it's their real names and we did tell the professors those names. So appreciate, we give those names what we thought it was from the Professors, are from us.
Again, this timeline and time travel confuses me sometimes.

I'll give you a little hint that if you invite Dreyton and Hassel to the clubroom, you'll get a special conversation about Dreyton's background. But I won't say more so I don't spoil you too much.

Well technically the new epilogue event just got revealed too so on January 11th we will finally be 100% complete with scarlet and violet. This feels like the longest game they have supported so I’m really curious after January what we will see from the Pokemon company going forward and what the next project is 🤔🤔 I’m honestly hoping for gen5 remakes or black and white 3 at this point.

Pro tip about the item printer there are four pokémon materials that give a whopping 68% they are Ditto goom happiny dust, magby hair and beldum claws. So all you really need to do to get materials for the printer is slap on a normal encounter power to sandwich and go outside the team's star fairy base and you are set. In addition Master Ball tier will allow you to get more than one item per print take Tara shards for example before the upgrade you would only get one if you printed them after the upgrade you can get up to In my experience 27.

If this was in gen 7 or 8, the Area Zero Underdepths definitely would’ve just been a hallway.

I still wished they have added the Black Augurite for Scyther to evolved into Kleavor and even better show Pikachu and Exeggcute evolved into Alolan Raichu and Alolan Exeggutor only in any part of the Terarium.

When I did the auctions, I had the grandma every time and she would keep running it to at least 350k pokedollars. I don’t know what she did to afford such a well funded retirement, but pop off Queen.

Although I wouldn’t say that we caused the Professors’ deaths (because leaving their son is 100% on them) and the chance that those were Professors of a different timeline/universe (because them trading out their own book would lead to Arven not having access to their book for the Mystic Weed in the past and causing more plot holes like such), we certainly caused the dominoes to fall in a way.
I also theorize/hc that the reason why the AIs recognizes us, even before “their” own son, is that they “subconsciously” recognize that we’re somehow otherworldly and important for that event or something like that.

Interesting take on the cut scene with the professors as for the rest I've started some probably won't be completing any of the pokedex of any part of scarlet and violet (I have both and have another switch but only have the dlc of scarlet and violet on 1 of them ) and I finally understand how to shiny hunt using auto battles I was a bit skeptical of how it worked but while doing an auto battle last night and getting my 1st shiny of The Indigo Disk in scarlet I finally understand and went on to get some more shinys great video

We're not done with the game yet, there's an epilogue coming next month where we go back to Kitakami!

Caught every pokemon evo from a raid. Ive completed the dex. Used discord to find touch trades. This game is fun.

Even within the new Pokemon Horizons Anime, Terapagos has a important ability to spread a mist that shows (Anime) Terapagos's Trainer in a flashback even over 100 years. Terapagos might have more than what we think it is capable of.

This HAS to be one of the BEST POKEMON game in terms of story wise and just overall game play.

Omg mood. I also figured out the flying thing to the green ball on the ceiling by chance. First thing I did after getting to fly.
I’d flown to the polar biome’s peak, and then thought “how far will this let me go”. And I kept expecting an invisible wall, but there wasn’t and I make it up there.
Naturally the second thing I did was fling myself off it, but that’s a different story.

A finally interesting DLC (not that there are only 2 dlcs)

I talked to Arven to try to give him the book since it would be more meaningful to him but couldn't. He even mentions that you have the book but then starts talking about his mabosstiff.

i think after all the dlc and story i definitely like S/V more now. it does suck for how long we have to wait and there’s no more fun post game story immediately after like the old pokémon but this lets them add a whooole lot and in the end i honestly love it.

One thing I noticed with the item room though. All of the red item balls are tera shards... except one premier ball.

Good video, a couple of things I'd missed. Minor correction - the Mark Charm isn't a new item, it was available in the Isle of Armor in SwSh.

I also talked to arven again when i got the book he notice that i have the book and said that it's just a copy that I got off the bookshelf in the library even though it the actual book.

If they indeed tried to make a time loop they did a pretty poor job as they ignored previous established canon writen on the journals. Alos two things people don't take into account is Arven wasn't even born when the time machine was created and the first raidon brought. Second, in our timeline we needed that book as later would have the professor's ID there in order to stop the time machine. From our timeline perspective, this makes no sense.

Fun Fact: you can still activate the secret ending if Terapagos is in your PC. You dont need to have it in your party

So... That paradox mentioned at the end?
That's not actually a paradox for a... Weird reason.
As noted, we trade The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero, the white book, for Sada/Turo's copy of the Scarlet/Violet book. But that right there? That's impossible. Not even paradoxical, it defies a paradox.
Judging by the description, this is *the* Scarlet/Violet book. As in the one we used to shut down the Time Machine at the end of the original story. The one that we were given by Arven down in Area Zero. The one Arven was supposed to have gotten from Sada/Turo's lab, that he referenced for the Herba Mystica throughout the Path of Legends.
Sada/Turo gave it to us before they died. So how could Arven have found it in their lab? How could he have given it to us in Area Zero? How could we have used it to shut down the Time Machine?
That is not a paradox. It goes the wrong way to be a paradox. The white book would be the paradox, but the Scarlet/Violet Book that Arven used in the Path of Legends should not exist.
Now, this could be fixed by saying it's just a different copy. But this is not implied to be the case. The AI says that the professor has "loved that volume since childhood", while the descriptions for the books say "the book has the name Sada/Turo written on it in clumsy handwriting", and the Professor even says it's their personal copy when they give it to you. So it's the same copy.
This means that either it's a different universe, which could break the bootstrap paradox of the white book (since it wouldn't be a closed loop, eventually you could reach a timeline where the Professor was not given a white book and simply managed on their own, with that Briar's book ending up in a different timeline and starting the pattern across timelines), or we actually changed the past entirely, as the Scarlet/Violet Book could not then be used as the key to the Time Machine nor could it guide us and Arven through the Path of Legends, potentially preventing us from befriending Arven and stopping the Time Machine, among other potential changes.

One last thing about the Secret Ending: The colors of the School change over to the other version!
