Wow. A KRplusr that gets to the point! Nice TLDR and excellent info post-TLDR. Thank-you. A lot of other tubers should followed your lead…
Glad you liked it.
Yep no added stories that waste our time
Couldn't agree more, looking forward to learn more!
agreed. the algorithm might not like it, but getting to the point is critical. this is also the core concept in MIT's 20.219 course on producing educational media you can take for free online, if anyone reading this is interested
I like your style. Not an unnecessary word in the whole video. Going through your library atm. Keep it up.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Means a lot! I always try to keep the fluff out and provide valuable information only in my videos. 😊
A year late but, the best explanation so far on the tube, clear, to the point, and all the information we need. Thank you.
Thank you! Glad you found the video helpful. 😊
The most interesting part in your videos is that you show the speed and power used for every single diode machine.
Very nice work keep going.
Thank you very much!
Bless you for actually understanding and USING a TLDR!!! I can't tell you (I really don't want to know) how many hours of videos I've watched just to find out the information I was seeking was somewhere else! Yes, I watched your whole video. Liked and Subscribed.
Thanks a lot for your kind words. I understand the struggle of finding specific info in long videos, which is why I include the TL:DR section in all my videos. Glad you like it.
Your support means a lot, and I'm thrilled to have you subscribed. 😊
This is literally one of the best videos on KRplus. It’s clear, precise. Information is put on screen when needed. Everything is explained. Lots more videos please and thank you for all the time you took making this video.
Thanks a lot man. Comments like these encourage me to put more effort into what I do 😊
If you engrave the back side of a mirror and then light it from behind, wherever the reflective paint was removed by the laser, the light will shine through the glass and be visible as an illuminated image.
Yes, you're correct. I used the same technique to create a vanity mirror with touch switch. I have a video on it, you might find it interesting.
Very informative and straight to the point. You've got yourself a new subscriber.
Thank you so much. And thanks for the sub... ❤️
Great video! Thanks for sharing
Ditto on all the other comments.....not one word was a waste of time. Very well done sir and very informative. Thankyou. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for subscribing! I'm glad you found the video informative. 😊
This is an outstanding video! It's clear, well organized, informative, nicely produced technically, and keeps a nice pace. This is SO very much better than the typical rambling videos I've suffered through from other presenters.
Wow, Thank youuu!!!! Will try to maintain this...
Has to be the best how do video that I’ve seen, he doesn’t try to make himself look good! Get’s right to the subject. I will be trying this on my 5 watt with black paper (not a fan of paining). Next I’m looking for info on engraving mirrors!
Thank you for your kind words. I always try to minimize fluff and get straight to the point. 😊
The black cardstock method works well for most of the projects, but I personally think paint produces slightly better results when it comes to engraving photos with intricate details.
To engrave mirror, you can engrave the back of the mirror and remove the reflective coating.
I usually hate to watch videos to learn...and would rather read instructions. But your video was so awesome. It was clear and concise. I liked that you put everything up on the screen, so it made it easier to understand and I could jot down notes. Also, a bit of humor!! Thank you!
I truly appreciate your kind words, and I'm delighted to hear that you found the video helpful. Making the content clear and informative is always the goal.😊
Opening up with a TLDR earned my sub. Perfectly produced tutorial/instruction. Thank you Mellowpine Lasers!
:D Welcome aboard!
I was struggling to get nice, clean engraved pieces incorporated into my stained glass work. FINALLY, your video provided the tips and tricks I was seeking in order to get my engraving to the level I have been looking for AND you showed me how to do it without needing to mess with painting the glass first! The black back drop is brilliant and my results are SOOOO much cleaner and better! THANK YOU for a fantastic post!!
You are welcome!!
Hi, I make stained glass as well. Have you experimented at all with scoring glass via laser? If so, have you found any techniques/settings that work particularly well?
@user-nn5xb3ly8h Yes! I have had the best luck with 100% power and speed set at 10 (on the xtool software). When done, use an exacto knife to clean out grooves/etching. I also have used "rub and buff" to make the etching "pop" in certain pieces...especially when etching in clear glass.
Nicely done 😊 !!! I just spent a ridiculous amount of time looking at other videos that didn’t explain crap- m’so SO happy to find your channel!
Thank you SO SO MUCH for the actually useful and insightful content- Legitimately and for real-
You're welcome!
Thanks. TLDR will definitely watch the whole video

Glad it was helpful!
Great video, a lot of good information. Keep it up
Glad you liked the video. 😊
I liked and subscribed because you gave the short version before the details. I hope this catches on becasue I can't tell you how many vids I stopped watching becasue they couldn't stop wasting my time. So, thank you for doing that! And, also, thanks for the advice for engraving! I will save you for when I get my setup ready.
You are welcome! Glad you found the video helpful and liked the quick TL :DR before the details. 😊
If the image is to be sandwiched with clear glass, reversing the image is optional. If you want to sandwich with a different colour, only reverse the image if you want to view the image through the colour side.
Great video, well presented and all factual, no gap filling. Much appreciated 👍🏻
@PEGASUS ONE Thank you so much for the appreciation, means a lot.
Lightburn now has a material test pattern built into the laser tools menu.
Thanks for the tip on engraving from the clear side of the glass. That's made it WAY easier to get consistent results!
Edit: Forgot to add - thank you! The format of this video is awesome. Love the concise delivery and clear explanations.
Yes you are correct about the test pattern. Glad the video was helpful.
Loved the video, straight to the point with very good examples. The settings for the different Watts are really a big help. Keep on making these videos.

The best video to engrave glass on yt. Thank you, continue. Hellas
Thank you. I'm glad you liked the video 😊
Cool very useful info
Thank you.
Perfect video !
Thank you very much!
I use tempra paint and like you said I spray it on. Something else I've tried that works well is candle black which is the soot from a candle. It is fast to put on and there is no drying time and washes off with water.
I have seen that method, but never tried, will try it some day.
Cool idea, thank you!
Nice video. My best result on a test piece was white spraypaint. From what I learned while exploring glass etching it's titanium oxide in the paint that reacts with the laser and "melting" into the glass causing the etch. There are probably other explanations to this as well, but as mentioned a white paint with TiO worked like a charm for me :)
Very well presented and composed with all points included, awesome job bro. Thanks for sharing 💕
Thanks a million 😊.... Will try to keep this up
After seeing the video, my first try with the black stock and setting 500mm/90% on my 5 Watt laser turned out GREAT !!!!!
Thanks a million... this video inspired me to do a test grid and it's a success. Never made a test grid before I'm using XCS xtool software 10w pro..
Glad it helped. xTool machines are good in general. I hope to bring out more videos and ideas like this one.
Great video. Subscribed!
Awesome, thank you!
Great job. Really enjoy your videos. Straight forward, great information, excellent science, and wonderful delivery. Thanks. 👍
Thank you so much. Stay subscribed!
You showed the 20 watt laser settings for using the black card stock but I would like to know what the settings would be for a 5 watt laser using the card stock.
Hello friend, first of all, thanks for the excellent instructions.
Maybe it slipped my mind but, what settings did you use to engrave on the glass with the 10W laser? Thanks
good information...more laser videos please..?
Thank you. More videos coming soon.
Echoing what everyone else is saying - THANK YOU. After going through a bunch of different videos, this included everything so quickly and efficiently. I appreciate it so much. I am absolutely subscribing and looking forward to more!

Thank you.... happy to help
Just came across this video while surfing. THANK YOU for this, this is EXACTLY what I was hoping to find when I started looking for the information on etching glass. all I currently have available right now are a couple of 3018 routers and they will only support a 5.5 watt laser.
You're very welcome!
Genius!!!!!
Thank you for this video. Well organized, helpful, and your voice and manner on the camera makes it easy to watch. Please keep up the great work!
Glad you found it to be useful. Sure I'll be making more videos.
New to using diode laser and was looking for info. Found this video and it is exactly what I was looking for. Speed is great, Information is precise, and writing info is easy to follow as well. Pleas make more, as I have a lot to learn, and I like what I have learned from you so far.
Happy to help, more videos coming your way.
Great video, I've always been looking for the best results on metal to engrave tumblers and white is terrible do you have a video on that?
You can try metal marking sprays.
i dont usually comment, but that was a great video, keep it up!! very clear and you explain things well
I really appreciate your feedback, I'll try to bring out better videos.
Really great video.
Would acrylic paint, applied with an airbrush, from scale modeling would work too?
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Please give it a try and let me know if it worked. Never tried airbrush and acrylic combo.
