It's filmed in a great way, love the sound of recording. And all memebers speaking in their native languages - showing their true selves, not hiding behind "clothes that everyone expect them to wear". Just wow, can never expect anything with (G)I-DLE - they always over exceed all the expectations. Can't wait for the album release ♥️

I feel like this album is different. It feels personal. I like how it’s so raw and honest. Ofc there’s a lot of pressure after Tomboy knowing it was well received by many, but one thing I love about them is that they don’t get swayed no matter how their comeback is successful or not. Their main priority always is to do music they wanted to do, not the music the people wanted them to do. If it’s well received, then they will be grateful, if it’s not then they always say they will try harder next time. They have been very consistent about it and stands to what they’ve believed in. I hope more people will acknowledged their grind and appreciate the efforts in their crafts. Like it or not, they ain’t losing. After all they just shared the things they love through music and for their fans. Love this girls so much. I’m so proud.

I just shared this fun off the wall theory with a friend yesterday. What if there is that slight possibility that they have this underlying plan to ease the fanbase and underlying culture into an overall theme that they're all about being unabashedly themselves and controversial over time...in order to make it more acceptable to get Soojin back (!)?
I know, I know...I'm very likely saying this as someone who just became a gidle fan 2 months ago while the Soojin grieving process is still fresh in my mind, but hear me out. Soyeon's explanation of this theme months ago essentially comes down to a metaphor of how they're exposing their true selves despite how the public and the world around them _wants_ to see them. In this current video, some of the members appear to be expecting anything from criticisms to backlash and how they're not necessarily a model/representative for society. They're expecting to be judged for being themselves and may even be wrongly judged, but will still show strength that they're still themselves strengths and flaws and all. I feel that this idea parallels very well with how Soojin was judged by the world regardless of whether there were any merits to the allegations against her or not while her arm tattoo has a message about unconditionally loving oneself (which includes being comfortable with ourselves despite the way society would judge us, and the humility to acknowledge our own flaws which in turn leads to us wanting to become a better person).
And if there is any merit to my idea here, we can say that it would follow the trajectory of how Tomboy was their first step to being more unabashedly themselves with the whole theme of defying expectations, authority, and gender roles. But in all, it's a really silly and long shot theory as I'm sure that it wouldn't add up logistically from a business standpoint.

Step 3: having Soojin back doesn't seem like as big of a deal anymore!

Present the absolute worst-case scenario first, then relax it so what you actually want to happen is not nearly so horrifying as what you had originally presented. People feel lucky for avoiding that worst thing. lol

I think what's greatest about gidle is that they try to convey thoughts and messages in their concepts. Their songs are not just "typical kpop songs". They try to communicate with the public by composing their music and writing their lyrics.

this made me cry and i'm not even really sure why :') something about how they're speaking so frankly and even speaking in their respective languages as if they want to make sure they can express what they want to say in the most accurate way possible. gidle are such a genuine and sincere group and it always comes through in how they go 100% no matter what concept they chose
soyeon is actually a genius. the amount of detail is crazy.

This is brilliant. I just love how Idle always go beyond their limit to express a theme or embody an important message. And this time, it's all about stripping off your mask and showing who's the real you. Though many people are afraid to show their true persona, like me, Idle inspires me to just be me.

외모 몸매에 가려진 연기와 굉장히 똑똑했지만 백치미 역할로 대중들에게 보여져야 했던 마릴린 먼로가 할리우드가 만든 상품이 아닌 배우가 되기 위해, 형식화된 기존 연기 형식에서 벗어나기 위해서 끊임없이 노력했듯이, 우리 아이들도 아이돌 하면 생각나는 그런 틀을 톰보이에서 시작해서 깨려고 하고 있는 것 같습니다... 대중들이 바라는 아이돌이 아닌 진짜 내 모습... 내 모습으로 사랑받고 싶어하는 거죠 이제까지 봐왔던 아이들의 다른 모습을 보면서 민니의 말대로 팬들은 좋아할수도 안 좋아할 수도 있습니다 마릴린 먼로가 후대에 20세기를 상징하는 아이콘이 되었는데 과연 아이들은 어떤 모습으로 남게 될 지 너무 기대되고 두렵고 설레네요
