100 Hours in West Palm Beach (Probably)

- Ride with me from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to West Palm Beach, Florida and back, shot almost exclusively in stills. All shot on iPhone 14Pro using Filmic Pro to record.
After being invited to WPB to shoot a baseball tournament, I wanted to create something to remember my trip by, as most do. It was a bit out of my ability to bring my gimbal to get the feel I wanted out of the video, so I thought why not challenge myself to use composition and framing to tell the story, rather than movement. I had been deep diving some cinematography concepts a couple of weeks prior to my trip, and the change in understanding certainly played a part in this challenge. It felt odd to not use movement, as if it were just a long picture, but it did give a heavier feel, one that I’ve come to appreciate.
The results are…boring, however I can’t say I hate it. How do you feel about still shots in cinema?
