Luckily I don’t think it will be anywhere near as annoying as Blackreach was.
I personally thought the warden would spawn near or in the stronghold since there are prison cells that spawn in the stronghold

I think it's funny how the fact that fireflies being frog-food was the last thing mentioned about the fireflies. but then became the number one reason why it was removed.

I do hope the mangrove swamps end up looking more canopied/roofed than they did in the in-game test footage. It would be so cool if it ended up looking much closer to that concept art with big roots that form these arches to boat under, with the fog and fireflies making a really cool murky and mysterious atmosphere

Those deep dark trailers have to be some of the scariest and most atmospheric things I've seen in Minecraft.
They're fulling embracing its use as a horror game and I love it.

turning the Deep Dark into a horror experience was a pretty wild decision for a game like Minecraft, but I'm all for it! It really gives off subnautica vibes.

the deep dark straight up turns minecraft into a horror game. I'm a little upset it's been pushed to 1.19 but man, seeing how much BETTER its gotten since the caves and cliffs teasers, I can honestly see the devs are taking their time making it as amazing as possible

Compare it to how they initially showcased the warden, now we get a whole new biome with extra mechanics we've never seen before! Totally will be worth the wait. Mountains and caves changes the whole Minecraft world generation, I can see how that in itself is a whole update alone to work on.

I remember the MC Team saying that they wanted to replicate the feel of how mysterious and even a bit scary OG Minecraft felt by introducing the Deep Dark and so I'm glad they're deciding to go all out with that idea :)
I was like sad when they decided to adjust the deep dark to the next update. But after seeing the preview, I was like it's all going to be worth it.

I'm so glad they're not afriad to delay some aspects of the game because it means they're really trying their best to put out their best work rather than focusing on pumping out updates for the sake of updates. It shows that they really truly care about their work and improving gameplay quality and player experience. It's also just so nice to see them dig back into minecraft's roots and strengthen what makes Minecraft so special, bringing back that initial spookiness of Minecraft again.

I’d love to see fireflies sync up their flashing over time, like they do in real life, to create a flashing effect. And someone else already suggested, but I’d like to second it, that when a frog eats a firefly it’s belly should glow for a bit.

This could be cool on certain biomes, because only certain firefly species in specific places sync. Most just flash independently.
Maybe their belly lighting could be difficult, but them getting the glowing effect for a few seconds would be more feasible.
Perhaps that should be something toggleable, especially for Minecraft fans with epilepsy

Mojangs funding from microsoft is very well spent money. Im so proud of the devs and the wholsome reflection of our world which theyre creating. I loved hearing the part specifically about the mud blocks too. When agnes and corey talked about how people from all around the world who live in mud huts, play this game as well. This dev team is truly and inspiration to other developers and other game companies should aspire to care this much about a games development and inclusivness to other communities

The deep dark caves is exactly what minecraft needed. I've gotten a little bored of not having much mystery. Now it adds that scary feeling to it that caves used to bring.

Okay, the Deep Dark is more amazing than I imagined, I remember that in Minecraft Live 2020, the Deep Dark was just a few sculk blocks, but now, in addition to having much more concentrations of sculk blocks in the Deep Dark, we also have the Ancient Cities , that impressed me
I think with the addition of frogs, they should expand to adding poisonous frogs in the rain forest biome. The tropical frog variant isn't bad but imagine adding those super colorful lethal ones from the Amazon and South America.

I think this might go against hostile mobs being based on real world animals (I know there are big spiders, but those are grandfathered in), but I thought so too! Perhaps if it was a Neutral mob?

Last three updates have been some of the best, with this one I feel like minecraft is finally moving into the direction of adding super rich content that exponentially increase the play time in it. I have always hoped that base game would be able to compete with mods and I can finally say with this update it now has a fighting chance against exploration mods. They really uped their game with this update, literally.

Honestly that art brings me so much joy,, i really hope they add those lil mushrooms on the trunks :'33 they're so fricken cute 😭😭 maybe they could spawn like some of the rare flowers where you can only find them in person, not by bonemealing? Or perhaps as a random chance of them growing when you grow a birch tree? So many people give birch trees hate and they deserve better 😭😭😭😭

These are people who enjoy their jobs,they love doing what they do anf they have fun doing so,they have a passion for the work they immerse themselves in and it feels refreshing to just watch them interact like this especially agnes.
I love the fact that Minecraft has managed to expand, create and explore different ideas more than they use to. It's great to see a dev team that loves the game just as much as they (or the old team members) did all those years ago.
I've been playing minecraft since i was in very early elementary school and the fact its still growing and thriving even now while im in highschool is absolutely incredible and makes me so so happy

I am pumped for this even though I just got into Minecraft a few weeks ago. Agness is so comforting whenever she speaks, this video is great.
Maybe the reason why we thought the birch forest was getting updated is because they didn't emphasize it wasn't coming, I thought it was getting updated, I'm pretty sure everyone that saw it live thought it was getting added I don't think anyone was a Grammer decoder and figured that out while watching it. Maybe because they talked about it looking Sweedish like a joke and with the new flowers that aren't in the game and the new design for birch trees and the mushrooms on threes + Downed trees and they commented on it making us think it was official. It had new content in the image and WAS IN THE NEW UPDATE SEGMENT.
And then they said they want to give eacj biome unique identity, so we did not commit a mistake, the mistake came from mojang.
Frogs should have a swimming animation where they kick their hind legs to propel themselves through the water, just like real life!

I was super sad when they said that the warden is getting moved, and then when they revealed what the deep dark is going to look like, I was all in for letting them take all the time they need
I think what they should do is release the warden in 1.18 but do what they did with the skulk sensor and make it a mob that doesn't spawn and can only be summoned and the rest of the deep dark comes in 1.19 like they said.

Back then we were hyped, but they yet again cut stuff that didn't at all need to be cut from the update. Fireflies, and the birch forests weren't even _touched!_ After Agnes says fireflies would add to ambience and a new birch forest would look beautiful (which we all wanted, since Birch Forests are pretty boring right now), but they both got shelved :( birch forests dismissed as mere concept art and fireflies as useless despite everyone hyped over the beautiful nostalgic atmosphere they provide.
They didn't just cut the birch forests, they attempted to gaslight us into believing it was just "concept art" and not a commitment yet they spent so long on it in the video and acted like it's a part of it.

As someone who has been playing MC since I was a kid, back when it first came out, I am so delighted to see how great of a job the devs are doing with it. It's clear that this game isn't just a cash cow and they are deeply passionate about the game and the community and it is so great and so wholesome.

I still remember the mangrove trees and biome from the Biomes'O Plenty mod. Glad to see minecraft adding it to the base game
Mojang could add a fog that is always present at the swamps, but when it rains or night comes then the fog gets thicker and more atmospheric

Yes! Like really light shaders that’s don’t change the textures of things like water (as some do) but just add some more shadows to things and maybe pixelated reflections on water?

@@SammyAnimations That's only Bedrock Edition plus even if you are playing Bedrock edition, RTX is how light reacts with different blocks, not the qualities of individual blocks so you need to find an external one that gives individual blocks the qualities and then run it with RTX.

the deep dark cities are actually so sick. it’s genuinely really interesting and gives off such mysterious vibes, and it feels like it’ll be so cool to explore, like a literal deep secret. can’t wait for that honestly.

I think that the deep dark cities are a big improvement to defeating the warden, you can build up, hide behind walls and avoid attacks

I think a lot of us that have been playing this game for the past 10 years have been chasing that feeling of when we survived the very first night. Just maybe, this could be the update to finally bring that immersive experience back!
So true… the generation remind me of the crazy terrain they used to have back in alpha and beta and stuff… it will really be a new experience! Instead of just added things like a new nether or smth this is completely new game changing terrain… also imagine if they release all of this at once xD it would probably be the world biggest update ever

The mud bricks is what sold me. Finally, now I can live in a swamp in a mud house
