I don't think following the trends will ever cause them to lose their way. They are NCT. In general, SM groups never lose their way and that's why they have longevity. Whether they follow trends or not. In this case, Mark was right. He mentioned in the meeting that because Smoothie was already outside their "zone," they should have something to sort of "stick" with their NCT Dream sound.

I have to say despite the debate over picking Unknown as their b-side to promote this comeback, I was not expecting a choreography to accompany it but I’m so glad they picked this song. They usually do very strong, impactful or high energy, cheerful pop songs for their choreo so it’s rare for them to dance to a more emotional song like Unknown and I absolutely LOVE how pretty the choreo is. It really goes to show how NCT members despite their neo concept can really do any genre and I really, really hope NCTzens support this comeback so hard cause these boys deserve the world 😊❤
