My guy its just six songs. The amount of royalties SEGA would need to pay for not crediting mj is not in their interest.
Imo, I'm really not bothered by it. It is off-putting not hearing Jackson's track for Ice Cap Zone, but I'm not worried about it. At least they brought back the lyrics for CD's JP opening and closing songs too, that I'm happy about.
I changed my order over to Steam after hearing those awful replacements, modders should have the originals restored in a few days

Just as a heads up for whoever's thinking about this. The S3&k port uses PC tracks for the ending, carnival night, icecap, and launch base. The music in angel island also runs a tad bit slower than original. Will update more with other finds here.
Angel Island's song barely gets a chance to play already.
FINALLY, Sonic 3 & Knuckles on modern platforms!! I've always wanted to play this one.
There's already an amazing fanmade remaster of it called Sonic 3 Angel Island Revisited.

Been playing this today to celebrate Sonics 31st, Playing Sonic 2 with a buttery smooth 60fps and widescreen support with a retrobit saturn controller absolutly priceless :)
Does 60fps really effect a 2D pixel game?

@@beauwalker9820 More than you'd think, especially in a a game as fast as Sonic 2.
@@beauwalker9820 It certainly has an effect on the special stages. If you can, see if there's a comparison video that shows it. Higher framerates in general tend to pop out somewhat.
I absolutely love playing this it brings me back to the sonic mega collection on my ds even has all the artwork that was in that game and it’s fun to unlock this time. I feel like stuff should cost more tho I’ve gotten half the collection finished from beating sonic 1 and sonic 1 missions with all S rank maybe I’m just too good but I had the same issue with Colors Ultimate taking some of the reward effect away by making it too easy to buy everything. I really hope the spin dash sound fx gets fixed tho it’s supposed to increase in pitch the more you charge it the mobile ports had the same problem so I assume it was just forgotten entirely but it really adds more impact to how fun the spin dash is hearing it charge up
Same I loved classic collection! It was the only way I had of playing sonic 3 until now and after opening it up yesterday the audio is honestly pretty bad and it had that spindash pitch issue. I'm glad origins exists now so I can play the game in a much better way than that
After a quick test, the spindash sound in origins is broken in 1, cd, and 2, but it's fine in 3. I do hope that gets fixed because not having that sound cue in classic collection was why I didn't learn mashing powered up the spindash until years later

I wish if they were adding a new version of sonic the hedgehog 1,2,3&K with the new better pixelated version and remastered characters inside in the game

Yeah. They use the Sonic 2 sprite on the character select screen in all games despite only one of those games having that sprite. I would’ve made it wheee you can use their Sonic/CD, 2, 3&K, and Mania sprites in all the games.
Could have made Amy playable too, she could have a triple jump like in the Boom game, and she could throw her hammer(s) hammer bro style.
Or just play like herself in Sonic Advance

Given that she wasn't playable in any of these games in the first place....nah. Nice idea, but nah. Gonna have to wait for when/if they remaster the Sonic Advance games.

Don't download any games that wasn't from the pc if sega did not give that person to ask for permission to put the games. This is why we had Nintendo switch system for a reason.

Except they're remade from the ground up with smooth 60FPS, new animations, the ability to use the spin dash and drop dash in all games, plus the collection has tons of extras. It's not emulation this time

Honestly, I’m kinda tired of seeing 1 and 2 on collections at this point because they’re always there, but 3 & knuckles and CD were a pleasant surprise.

Finally a decent port of Sonic 3 and K on something newer than a GameCube. The widescreen is nice too.
Not perfect on Switch, but leaps and bounds better than the 3ds collection.
Can't wait to listen to my favorite stage theme, Ice Cap Zone, in high quality.

If anything, Sonic Mania taught me that there will probably be a physical release with all the content. So I'll wait for that.

Definitely gonna check this out! I've played the Genesis games before, but never CD, so that will be at least one new game for me, and on top of that we get new content like the bonus act and boss fight for Sonic 2, animated cutscenes, and playable Knuckles in all _three_ Genesis games, including Sonic 1 for the first time. I have a feeling these will become the definitive versions, and will make a great companion to Sonic Mania.
I hope by three you meant to include Sonic 3 and not Sonic CD. Because you'd be disappointed.
@@miwestraveler3986 I mean Sonic 1, 2, and 3. Knuckles in Sonic 1 is a big deal because trying to lock Sonic 1 onto & Knuckles back in the day didn't work like it did with Sonic 2. Instead of playing Knuckles in Sonic 1, you just got the sphere minigame from 3&K.
